Partner Track – Season 1 Episode 8 1

Ingrid eagerly anticipates a lavish Thanksgiving Dinner, while Tyler grapples with his conflicting emotions. He confides in Rachel about his indiscretion in the bar, his fleeting encounter with the bartender, Javi, and wonders how Anthony will react. Rachel, on the other hand, seems to have aced her interview and also found a promising partner in Justin, despite her initial skepticism. However, she struggles with a severe writer's block.

Back at the firm, Ingrid arrives with Jeff, and they agree to keep the false arrest a closely guarded secret, especially with the imminent announcement of the partnership promotion looming. Marty, connecting via video call from home, informs them of Ted Lassiter's impatience regarding the NewLeaf deal. He urges them to think like partners and wishes them a joyful Thanksgiving.

As they collaborate, Jeff opens up, revealing that Victoria was actually his client in London. Their relationship blossomed, but Victoria snooped through his suitcase and discovered sensitive information, which she exploited to sabotage a significant deal he was working on.

As they delve deeper into the documentation, they stumble upon a sneaky clause inserted by Min Enterprises. It involves "excluding consequential damages," a term not present in the original contract. This revelation indicates a sinister ploy, and sorting it out will be a tedious task. Despite Jeff's offer to handle it himself, considering Ingrid's Thanksgiving plans, she refuses, and they work tirelessly to resolve the issue. However, Ingrid's parents are displeased with her absence.

After enduring a tumultuous few weeks, Ingrid unburdens herself to Jeff, sharing her woes about being snubbed by her friends, the diversity gala mishap, and her lies to Z. Jeff is a pillar of support, reassuring her of his belief in her. This heartfelt moment casts Jeff in a favorable light.

Meanwhile, Rachel decides to spend Thanksgiving with Justin, but the encounter with his friends is awkward. Tyler's evening is equally uncomfortable as he faces the disdain of his parents for his unemployment and lack of career prospects. However, a tender moment in Tyler's room sees his father express pride in his son.

Jeff orchestrates a delightful Thanksgiving dinner for Ingrid, and during the intimate meal, they share heartfelt revelations about their respective family lives. With Ingrid successfully negotiating the deal with Min Enterprises, she realizes this could be a step towards her partnership promotion. Overcome with excitement and fluster, she impulsively kisses Jeff. Their chemistry ignites, and their clothing flies off in the heat of the moment. But Ingrid is about to learn a humbling lesson in the throes of passion.

Nick appears unexpectedly and witnesses their intimacy. Heartbroken, he promptly ends his relationship with Ingrid. Elsewhere, Tyler confesses to Anthony about his indiscretion with the bartender, leaving Anthony hurt and angry. Unfortunately, the two part ways, each going their separate ways.
