En route, Beatrix commands an unplanned stop at a store, where she receives a cryptic note from a suited figure whispering of a compromised safe house. In response, Beatrix rapidly alters their course, directing Charlie to steer towards an alternate refuge.

At this new sanctuary, Charlie engages in a probing conversation with Beatrix's trio of lieutenants, satisfying herself that none are federal informants. She also crosses paths with Jeffrey, Beatrix's husband, unaware that her task is far from complete. Beatrix insists Charlie accompany them to the awaiting plane, prompting a pre-departure detour to the restroom for Charlie.

Upon reaching the airstrip, Beatrix orders Charlie to precede her onto the plane. Stepping inside, Charlie is met with a chilling sight—a doll in the pilot's seat, a grim mockery of their hoped-for escape. Hardly has the revelation settled when the FBI, led by Luca, descends upon them like a storm.Jeffrey, overwhelmed by panic, bolts and meets his fate with a bullet from Luca's gun. Beatrix, acting swiftly, seizes the weapon and fires back, felling Luca. With adrenaline surging, she dashes into the plane, the sound of another gunshot echoing ominously from within.

A flashback montage transports us to the FBI office, where Luca and his team orchestrate their strategy to ensnare Beatrix. Luca possesses a secret asset within Beatrix's circle, a truth he guards fiercely from even his closest ally, Danny, who repeatedly urges him to divulge the informant's identity.

Danny, unmasked as Beatrix's clandestine agent within the FBI, rendezvous with her at a covert location—a nondescript store—where he whispers urgent news: Luca has uncovered the whereabouts of her hideout. Consequently, Luca and his team lay in ambush at a desolate house, anticipating Beatrix's arrival. Meanwhile, Luca crosses paths with his confidential source, revealing an unexpected twist: Jeffrey, fed up with Beatrix prioritizing her missions over their relationship, has turned against her. Unbeknownst to both, Danny lurks nearby, eavesdropping through the subtle art of lip-reading.

Luca unfolds his meticulously crafted plot to intercept the plane Beatrix intends to flee on, suggesting a deceptive maneuver—staging Jeffrey's demise to gain the upper hand. He hands Jeffrey a shirt embedded with pyrotechnic squibs, instructing him to ignite them at Luca's signal.

Back at the fortified safe house, Charlie catches a glimpse of Jeffrey's true colors but chooses to remain silent, her mind racing with implications. Seizing a private moment in the restroom, she retrieves a clandestine phone and dials Luca, who fills her in on the impending operation. As Charlie listens intently, the narrative pivots seamlessly from the reminiscence-laden past to the tense present.

We come to learn that Danny's sinister act of planting a genuine bullet amidst Luca's cache of fakes ultimately led to Jeffrey's tragic demise. In a twist of fate, Beatrix seizes Luca's firearm, intending to mete out justice, yet discovers only harmless blanks within its chambers. Undeterred, she boards the plane and brandishes her own weapon, holding Charlie captive as she demands a pilot from the authorities at gunpoint.

With Charlie as her pawn, Beatrix's voice echoes through the aircraft, insisting on a pilot's presence. Unbeknownst to her, Charlie surreptitiously uses her concealed phone to whisper to Luca about Beatrix's suspected FBI informant. Beatrix, swift and perceptive, discovers the secret communication and smashes the phone to smithereens. Charlie, ever resourceful, spins a tale, convincing Beatrix that the FBI mole had every reason to eliminate Jeffrey to shield their true identity.

Luca, driven by a guilt stemming from his betrayal of Beatrix's husband, makes a daring entry into the plane, volunteering his aid. Danny, realizing the tide is turning against him, decides to intervene personally, revealing his clandestine role as the infiltrator within the FBI. However, fate intervenes in the form of a loose shoelace, causing him to stumble, and in the chaotic scuffle that unfolds, Beatrix, Luca, and Charlie collectively overpower him.

Danny, now in custody, offers Beatrix a deal: witness protection in exchange for her cooperation in bringing down Danny and testifying against the remaining Five Families, but only if she spares Charlie. Beatrix nods in agreement, and Charlie ponders over the possibility of a new beginning. As Poker Face Season 2 Episode 3 draws to a close, Beatrix strides to her car, unfolds a map, closes her eyes, and lets fate decide her next destination by placing her finger upon it at random.
