Ponies – Season 1 Episode 3

Published: Jan 23 2026

In the opening of Episode 3 of Ponies, George learns the devastating news that the woman he slept with has been murdered. This revelation hits him hard, as it's the same woman Andrei met at the end of the previous episode and was repeatedly stabbed. Despite the shock, George doesn't linger on this and instead calls the embassy under the pretext of a lost passport. However, his real intention is to talk to Twila. He asks her to meet him at the airport and then confesses the truth: the sex worker he was with is dead. Twila promises to investigate but George is clearly rattled by this news.

Ponies – Season 1 Episode 3 1

Back at the office, the team helps Bea refine her accent and cover story ahead of her date with Andrei. The pressure is starting to show, and she knows that one wrong move could expose her. And given what we know about the sex worker from last episode, it could even go as far as murder.

While Andrei sets up a movie date with Bea, Ray does some digging and uncovers a troubling past for Andrei. There have been dozens of anonymous women killed over the past two years, all of them sex workers. Hearing this, Twila decides she needs to hear from the women themselves. She and Ray visit a brothel, showing newspaper clippings to one of the workers. Most of the faces are familiar, but one woman stands out. This could be the lead they need.

Elsewhere, Dane tells Bea that she'll need to bug Andrei's newly discovered secondary residence. Bea hesitates but finally opens up. She admits that she became a spy to find out what happened to Chris and, as a result, she will do whatever it takes to get some answers. She's not going to walk away anytime soon.

In a bid to provide more context and make the situation more vivid, we can describe George's reaction to the news as one of shock and disbelief. He sits there, staring at his phone in disbelief, trying to process the fact that the woman he slept with is no more. His call to Twila is filled with urgency and desperation, as if he's seeking a lifeline in the midst of his turmoil.

At the office, Bea's anxiety is palpable as she tries to perfect her cover story and accent. The pressure is mounting, and she knows that one misstep could unravel everything. The revelation about Andrei's past adds another layer of complexity to the situation, making it even more critical for them to find out the truth.

Twila and Ray's visit to the brothel is filled with tension and anticipation. As they show the newspaper clippings to the workers, their faces reveal a mix of fear and curiosity. The moment they spot the woman who stands out, their hearts race in anticipation of finding a lead that could potentially solve the case.

Dane's conversation with Bea is filled with a sense of determination and resolve. She knows that this is her chance to get answers about Chris' disappearance and she's not going to let anything stand in her way. Her hesitation is brief but sincere, as she admits that her actions are driven by a desire for justice and closure.

Ray tries to halt Twila's plan to meet with Bea that evening, fearing it could jeopardize Bea's cover. However, Twila is unaware that Bea is about to embark on a date until Ray informs her of the location.

Concerned, Twila shows up to keep a watchful eye from afar, ready to intervene if things escalate. She sneaks into the cinema, seating herself far behind Bea and Andrei, watching from the shadows. The date ends prematurely, but before they part ways, Bea pulls Andrei into a kiss. The kiss continues in the car, where she presses for more. Andrei confesses that he's married, but Bea persists. The conversation takes a dangerous turn before he eventually gives in, and Bea takes him to Sasha's apartment. She rushes inside first to explain the situation to him, while Sasha escapes onto the balcony and climbs down the building as Bea erases any trace of his presence.

On the street below, Sasha encounters Twila holding Bea's purse. He panics, thinking she's there to kill him. Instead, she hands him her socks and sends him on his way. The night ends without incident, giving Twila enough time to plant a bug in Andrei's car while Andrei himself is convinced that Sasha's apartment is actually Bea's.

Bea and Twila regroup later that evening, quietly celebrating a successful operation. However, the mood shifts when Twila notices a personal photo Bea took from the apartment. She recognizes the girl standing beside Sasha as one of the murdered women. As Andrei picks up another woman, the newly planted bug records everything.

The episode then cuts back to May 1976. Tom walks past a crime scene, which happens to be the woman from the photograph we saw earlier in Sasha's apartment. The implication, of course, is that this is his sister. Back at the office, the murder weapon is sealed into evidence by Emile, who does so silently and methodically.
