In the opening scene of Episode 2 of "Positively Yours," Du-jun and Hui-won discuss the pregnancy at a restaurant. Du-jun expresses his desire to take responsibility and marry Hui-won, but she remains undecided about the baby, let alone marriage. Later, Du-jun has another nightmare about his brother's death and shares with his therapist that things have not been getting better. However, he recalls the one night he spent with Hui-won, the only night he slept well without his medication.

In a flashback, we see Du-jun going to several pubs to look for Hui-won after their one-night stand. He becomes so distracted that Secretary Go keeps teasing him, but he keeps denying that he fell in love at first sight. It's more like he fell in love after the one-night stand. In the meantime, he also realizes that the cheque Hui-won left behind was actually his.
We return to the day Du-jun saw Hui-won at the gynaecologist. Se-hyun asked him to drive her there, and it turns out the necklace was a birthday gift for Se-hyun. Presently, the two refuse to see eye to eye on what to do about the pregnancy. Although Du-jun wants to get married, he gives Hui-won some time to make up her mind. He shares his number and asks her to contact him when she is ready.
In the meantime, Du-jun plays out different scenarios of what will happen. In one scenario, he takes the kid; in another, he only offers to pay child support. In the final scenario, he proposes marriage to her, but the scene abruptly shifts to a blank and dark setting. In all scenarios, there is no happy ending.
After their meeting, Hui-won goes to the pub to drown her frustrations in alcohol. While there, she realizes she can't drink anymore. In the past, drinking was how she celebrated everything. She starts sighing and talking to herself as she cries.
The dialogue and actions between Du-jun and Hui-won create a tense and emotional atmosphere as they navigate their feelings towards each other and the impending arrival of their child. The flashbacks and scenarios played out by Du-jun add depth to his character, showing his inner turmoil and uncertainty about his future with Hui-won and their child. Meanwhile, Hui-won's struggle with her emotions and inability to drink symbolize her changing perspective on life and her relationship with Du-jun. The overall story creates a compelling narrative that keeps the audience engaged and eager to see how things will play out for these two characters.
The bartender, misinterpreting her intentions, presents her with his finest liquor, hoping to dispel her troubles. Instead, she requests him to drink on her behalf. At this juncture, Jeong-eum emerges and offers to take her place. She shares her story of an unplanned pregnancy and the delightful yet challenging journey of motherhood. She urges Hui-won to focus on her dreams and let go of the pregnancy. It turns out that Jeong-eum has been secretly following Hui-won, waiting for the perfect moment to approach her.
In another flashback, we revisit the day Du-jun's brother passed away. The two brothers discussed marriage, and Du-jun's brother only had words of praise for his wife. He was so elated and proud of his union. It's no wonder Du-jun feels a sense of guilt towards Jeong-eum. He blames himself for causing the disintegration of her family. At the end of the day, he texts Hui-won, but she chooses to ignore his message.
Meanwhile, Se-hyun pays a visit and scolds Du-jun for not pursuing his own happiness. She takes the blame for ruining his life and urges him to stop denying himself a chance. The next day, Hui-won learns that she has been selected for a study program in Germany. She becomes increasingly preoccupied as she weighs the pros and cons of motherhood and how it will impact her future. Given her difficult childhood, she fears she might be a poor mother. So engrossed is she in her thoughts that she fails to hear Soon-hee ranting about the arrival of the new chairman. Later, Se-hyun tries to encourage her to give Du-jun another chance.
On the other hand, Du-jun and Secretary Go set out for their first visit to Taehan Liquors. During the drive, Du-jun shares that he's about to meet the woman he intends to marry. Shocked, Secretary Go pulls over to check if Du-jun is ill. Du-jun insists he's merely curious and has concluded that marriage will be cost-effective.
As soon as they arrive at the company, Hui-won stealthily whisks Du-jun away for a private chat. She misinterprets his presence as an attempt to pressure her. Du-jun enquires about her decision and suggests a loveless marriage. This further enrages Hui-won with everything he says. They're almost discovered by Soon-hee and Manager Na in the conference room. Hui-won begs Du-jun to cover for her, and in the end, he lies that he forgot his phone and borrowed Hui-won's to make a quick call. At this point, Hui-won realizes that Du-jun is the new chairman.
Before leaving, he reminds Hui-won to reply to his messages and save his number. Meanwhile, Secretary Go starts crushing on Soon-hee. On their way out, Du-jun reveals to Secretary Go that he might be a father soon. When they get home, Secretary Go encourages Du-jun, saying he'll make a great husband and father.
Elsewhere, Hui-won meets with Mi-ran and pretends she doesn't know about her romantic relationship with Min-wook. Mi-ran urges Hui-won to get rid of the baby and focus on her dream. A notification pops up on Hui-won's phone reminding her of her mother's upcoming birthday.
The next day, Hui-won visits her mom with a cake. Unfortunately, her mom acts indifferent, prompting Hui-won to finally confront her nonchalant attitude. Sun-jeong makes it clear that Hui-won ruined her life and blames her for all the opportunities she missed. Hui-won mentions she's pregnant. Her mom urges her to abort the baby because she'll only grow to resent it. In anger, Hui-won storms out and walks to the nearest gynaecologist clinic. The doctor assures her the pregnancy is fine but warns her not to overexert herself, describing the conception as a miracle given Hui-won's reproductive health issues.
Hui-won recalls how her mom would blame her for everything when she was young. The thought of being someone else's mother terrifies her, and she starts crying, telling the doctor that she wants an abortion.
On her return journey, Hui-won bumps into Min-wook. As he consoles her, she can't help but start crying again. When he learns that she's pregnant, he vows to hold the child's father accountable. However, Hui-won begs him to stop blaming the man, accepting responsibility for her part in the situation. She brings up his past with Mi-ran, and he clarifies that it was just a drunken kiss. He adds that he had turned down Mi-ran's drunken love confession, and they are not dating. Hui-won is relieved.
Later, Min-wook escorts her home, where Du-jun spots them together. After Min-wook leaves, Du-jun questions her about her relationship with him. He insists that he doesn't care that she loves another man but is ready to take responsibility. Hui-won confronts him about hiding his identity and asks him to pretend they don't know each other at work.
Meanwhile, Min-wook heads home, heartbroken over Hui-won's pregnancy. He recalls how she supported him when he started his job as a sales manager at the same company.
The next morning, Du-jun gives all the employees at Taehan Liquor bonuses to mark his first day as the new chairman. Everyone starts gushing about his handsome features, which only annoys Hui-won more since he's treating her coldly.
Over the next few days, Du-jun focuses on getting a sense of the place. On the other hand, Secretary Go continues to fall for Soon-hee.
During a meeting, Du-jun openly asks Hui-won if she intends to leave for Germany soon. Everyone assumes he's picking on her again. After the meeting, Hui-won confronts Du-jun once again and turns down his loveless marriage proposal. She insists that she hasn't decided what to do about the baby. As a compromise, Du-jun asks that they meet three times a week and give dating a real chance. The proposal shocks Hui-won.
