Episode 4 of Season 3 of "Reacher" kicks off with Beck at the wheel, driving Reacher back to their shared destination. Now serving as the new lieutenant, Beck seizes a fleeting moment under the guise of a food run to reconnect with Duffy and Villy. During this secretive rendezvous, he broaches the subject of the safehouse explosion and its unfortunate "collateral damage," suggesting that Duffy might brush it off as a mere bureaucratic inconvenience. However, Duffy is far from pleased. In exchange for his cooperation, Reacher gets a glimpse at the photographs Duffy has gathered, which unmistakably reveal Julius McCabe's true identity as Quinn.

Reacher – Season 3 Episode 4 1

Eager to grasp the full scope of their adversary, Duffy prompts Reacher to elaborate on his connection to Quinn. Reacher delves into his military past, revealing how he was once paired with Dominique Kohl, a spirited assistant fresh on the espionage scene. Their mission: to uncover a clandestine operation involving the sale of highly classified weapon-design blueprints by a specialist named Gorowski.

With unwavering confidence, Dominique assures Reacher that he won't regret bringing her on board, and she swiftly proves her mettle. They discover Gorowski was coerced into making secret drops in a public park. The duo stake out the designated spot, only to realize they've been cleverly misdirected. The actual exchange occurs in plain sight, concealed in a newspaper tossed into a nearby bin, obscured by a passing garbage truck.

Despite the lack of solid evidence, Reacher decides to confront Gorowski directly, intensifying the pressure. His tactic pays off; Gorowski cracks under interrogation, revealing that Quinn had kidnapped his four-year-old daughter as a grim demonstration of his power. This grim revelation draws Reacher and Dominique deeper into the labyrinthine case of Quinn, a notorious figure with a history of peddling military secrets to various buyers. Their latest target: Safwan Qasim, a Syrian national and government agent.

Reacher mentors Dominique, guiding her through the complexities of the case while empowering her to take the lead. Together, Kohl and Reacher confront Safwan, demanding his cooperation in bringing Quinn to justice. With Safwan and Gorowski now on their side, they orchestrate a sting operation, capturing Quinn on camera as he exchanges military secrets for a vast sum of money. The only task remaining is to make the arrest and bring Quinn to book.

Reacher keeps a watchful eye on Dominique Kohl, emphasizing that she had spearheaded this investigation and thus deserved the honor of apprehending their target and basking in the subsequent accolades. Yet, that fateful night, Kohl fails to make contact, prompting Reacher to send her a message. When he finally arrives at Quinn's place, his heart sinks as he learns the devastating truth: Dom has been brutally murdered, hung from the rafters of a barn after enduring惨不忍睹的torture.

Filled with righteous fury, Reacher tracks down Quinn shortly thereafter and confronts him at gunpoint. Quinn, in a desperate bid to save himself, claims they had been working together with Kohl all along. But Reacher sees through the charade and, in a moment of intense drama, marches Quinn to the precipice of a cliff, the roaring rapids sprawling out below. Without hesitation, he pulls the trigger, aiming for Quinn's head. Yet, as expected, this does not claim his life.

The police soon arrive on the scene, and Reacher fabricates a story, asserting that Quinn had already vanished by the time he had gotten there.

Switching gears to the present narrative, Duffy unveils her side of the story. It transpires that Teresa had not voluntarily embarked on this undercover mission; she had been coerced by Duffy with the threat of incarceration. Duffy had conjured up a tale about the District Attorney who had prosecuted Teresa's boyfriend on drug charges, believing she had withheld crucial testimony to ensure a lighter sentence for him, and seeking retribution by targeting Teresa. This revelation elucidates Duffy's unwavering determination to crack this case, forging a bond of shared guilt between them.

Reacher returns to the house, where Annette thoughtfully gifts him some new attire. Stepping outside, he finds Richard pounding away at a punching bag. Reacher, sensing the boy's turmoil, offers to teach him how to fight, a gesture of mentorship and camaraderie.

Through Beck, Reacher discovers that Angel's laptop, equipped with a tracking app, has been spirited away from the warehouse. More crucially, it contains detailed shipping schedules and currently pinpoints its location at a commercial tubing facility owned by their adversaries. Ironically, this is the very spot where Duffy and Villy have arrived in search of Teresa. Not long after, Quinn's men descend upon the facility, setting the stage for a harrowing climax that leaves viewers on the edge of their seats.
