Mike responds reassuringly, portraying Cecilie as a well-intentioned soul who would never resort to informing the police. Instead of confronting her spouse directly, Cecilie chooses to flee the tense atmosphere, embracing the solace of a morning jog.
At the precinct, Carl attends to Aicha, who is engulfed in a maelstrom of anxiety. Her impulsive actions at Kim's abode have inadvertently led to a woman's deportation, weighing heavily on her conscience. A call interrupts her turmoil, initiating a meeting with Cecilie.
Upon arriving at the police station, Cecilie unfolds the saga of the pregnancy test to Aicha, painting a portrait of Ruby: a devout Catholic entangled with a fiancé. She speculates that Rasmus exploited Ruby's vulnerability, raping her and causing her further pain upon discovering her pregnancy. Elsewhere, Angel pays a visit to Darna, seeking her assistance in sending funds back to her homeland. While engaging in this errand, she also inquires about Ruby's whereabouts. Darna unveils that Ruby has embarked on a quest for fresh employment opportunities, having grown weary of working for Katarina and Rasmus, now that Oscar has matured.
On her journey back home, Cecilie happens upon Rasmus and Katarina. They playfully entrust her with the task of keeping Oscar at her place, teasing her about her fondness for running.
Back at the police station, Carl and Aicha delve into Ruby's case, with Aicha hitting upon the idea of visiting Ruby's church to converse with the priest. Alas, the priest declines to divulge the contents of Ruby's confession.
At school, Oscar and two of his cronies coerce Viggo into uploading videos to their chat group. Subsequently, Mike inquiries about the emergency cash stashed in the drawer, to which Cecilie clarifies she hadn't taken it, nor do they suspect Angel of doing so. They cross-examine Viggo, who confesses to having taken the money and handed it over to Angel. He justifies his actions by stating that he didn't want Angel to depart, hence giving her the money.
Cecilie confronts Angel, who stuns her by revealing that she has a child. As per the law, an au pair isn't permitted to have kids. Angel expresses her remorse but clarifies that falsifying her documents was the sole means to support her son. Afterwards, she pays a visit to the church, engaging in conversation with fellow Filipino workers.
Back at the house, Katarina and Rasmus paid a visit, unaware that Mike had already spilled the beans about Angel's actions. Without wasting any time, Rasmus and Katarina launched into a tirade, branding Angel a thief. Cecilie, unable to stand by and watch, stepped in to champion Angel's cause. In retaliation, Rasmus dug up an old incident, bringing up Ruby and Mike's once-made remark about her cuteness. The atmosphere shifted abruptly, turning tense, and the couple soon made their exits.
Outside, Viggo seized the opportunity to snap a video of Angel as she bent down to restock the drinks cabinet. Later that evening, Aicha received a call informing her that Ruby's purse had been discovered—a discovery Carl deemed ominous.
Back under Cecilie's roof, Mike attempted to initiate intimacy with Cecilie, but she rejected his advances, preferring to hit the pavement for a run. Meanwhile, Viggo sketched out a drawing that emitted an air of suspicion. Concerned, Angel dialed Ruby's boyfriend to inform him of her disappearance. To her surprise, he revealed that Ruby had abruptly ended their relationship a week prior, without offering any coherent explanation.
As bedtime approached, Viggo pleaded with Angel to let him share her bed, but she gently ushered him away. Cecilie, having reached her breaking point, confronted Mike about betraying their confidence to Rasmus. She unveiled her recent encounter with the police and Mike's displeasure was palpable. Noticing that Rasmus was persistently calling Mike, she delved further into their conversation, bringing up Mike's past comments about Ruby. He remained tight-lipped, refusing to elaborate. Seizing her chance, Cecilie asked Mike to check on Viggo while she sneakily sifted through his phone. To her astonishment, she uncovered warm exchanges between Mike and Ruby.
