Single Drunk Female – Season 1 Episode 9 1

Meanwhile, Joel blindsides Brit with a plot of land he's purchased as a gift, unaware that his unsolicited gesture would spark an argument about their future. Sam, on the other hand, seeks solace in Olivia, who's grappling with the emotional rollercoaster of IVF cycles. Their conversation leads to Sam confessing her reason for not inviting Carol to her celebration — her incomprehension of Sam's current journey. Olivia gently urges Sam to reconcile with Carol, a prospect Sam dreads.

Later, Sam attempts to open a dialogue with Carol, but Carol suggests a drive instead, claiming she's not emotionally prepared. Brit, grappling with her argument with Joel, turns to Felicia for a solution, impulsively seeking drugs to gain clarity about her impending marriage. Felicia reluctantly agrees to help, introducing Brit to Val, a woman who supplies hallucinogens in a park.

Joel, seeking solace away from home, finds himself in a bar where he unwittingly orders a drink he doesn't want. He hands it to the person next to him, unaware that it's James, already nursing a drink. James accepts the offering with a shrug, claiming he'll drink anything.

Sam and her mother embark on a drive to a serene riverbank. Carol取出Sam父亲的骨灰,告诉Sam她们将要把它们撒入水中。While Carol seems matter-of-fact about the ritual, Sam offers a heartfelt tribute, recalling how her father knew her better than anyone, even before she realized she was an alcoholic. Carol confesses her own sense of loss, assuring Sam that Bob's move-in doesn't mean Sam has to leave. However, Sam insists it's time for her to find a place of her own.

As night falls, Brit finds herself under the influence of Val and Felicia's psychedelics in the park. Despite the drugs' effects, Brit remains grounded in reality, seeking their advice on whether to marry Joel. They refrain from giving a definitive answer. Meanwhile, Joel continues to unload his troubles to James at the bar, who reveals that he often panics when things in his life start to go well.

The episode concludes with Brit finally letting go and enjoying a night of fun and laughter with Val and Felicia.
