With a solemn voice, he utters, "Arise," and from the lifeless bodies of the Ice Bears, their shadows emerge with an eerie resilience. Elsewhere, Baek, Dongsoo, Woo, Ahn, and Hyun engage in an animated discussion at the Red Gate, where Ahn remarks that it has been three long days since Jinwoo and his companions ventured through this portal. Dongsoo, shrouded in pessimism, contemplates Jinwoo's possible fate, believing him to be lost. As Dongsoo prepares to leave, he grills Baek and the others about Jinwoo's motives, prompting Ahn to affirm that Jinwoo sought to tackle a formidable C-rank mission. Baek steps in to prevent Dongsoo from harming Ahn, leading to a physical altercation between the two.
Concurrently, Chul stumbles upon the scene of devastation, the Ice Bears' corpses strewn about. Convinced that the White Demon is responsible for their demise, Chul's suspicions deepen. Meanwhile, Woo interrupts Dongsoo and Baek's brawl, revealing the truth about Dongsuk's killer to Dongsoo, who stubbornly insists that it was Jinho who took his brother's life. Just as tensions are at their peak, Dongsoo receives a mysterious text message on his phone and abruptly departs.
Elsewhere, Chul spies Heejin, Song-Yi, and another gentleman in conversation at a nearby shelter. Impelled by grief and suspicion, Chul confronts the trio, informing them of his teammates' tragic end and accusing someone within their midst of stealing their equipment, which ultimately led to their downfall.
Suddenly, Jinwoo intervenes, incapacitating Chul with a swift strike. Sensing the presence of an enemy group nearby, Jinwoo commands them to reveal themselves. Emerging from the shadows, the group introduces themselves as Ice Demons. Jinwoo engages with the Ice Demons, discovering to his astonishment that he can comprehend their language thanks to the enigmatic Player Log System.
Jinwoo engages in a dialogue with Baruka, the commander of the Ice Demons. In a brutal turn, he slays one of Baruka's comrades and injures his steed. Baruka confides that an eerie voice compels them to prey on humanity, yet paradoxically, it spares Jinwoo from their wrath. Intrigued, Jinwoo ponders whether this internal directive of the Ice Demons mirrors the command structure of the Player Log.
Baruka demands Jinwoo to surrender his human companions, vowing to spare his life in return. A moment of glitchy disarray puzzles Jinwoo, but he steadfastly refuses to betray his allies. Summoning his formidable shadow army, Jinwoo initiates a fierce battle against Baruka's contingent.
As Baruka charges towards Jinwoo, Chul, another adversary, follows suit. Amidst a shroud of smoke, Jinwoo issues a chilling command to Igris: to eliminate Chul. With Chul's demise, Jinwoo employs his unique abilities to extract Chul's shadow, transforming him into a formidable shadow knight named Iron. Together with Igris and Iron, Jinwoo confronts Baruka.
After Jinwoo's army decimates Baruka's forces, they rally to aid Jinwoo in overcoming their leader. A mystical gateway materializes, signaling Jinwoo and his companions to depart. Before their exit, Jinwoo attempts to extract Baruka's shadow, but to no avail.
Returning to the city, Jinwoo is intercepted by Baek, who seeks clarity on their gateway escapade. Jinwoo dismissively urges Baek to inquire with the guild, hinting at his exhaustion and longing for rest. Baek persists, but Jinwoo subtly acknowledges his concerns while reminding Baek to be grateful for saving two White Tiger Guild members. Baek apologizes, and Jinwoo proceeds to escort Song-Yi home. Baek then instructs Ahn to escort Jinwoo to their guild.
Upon dropping off Song-Yi, Jinwoo reveals his inability to extract Baruka's shadow, attributing it to the vast disparity in their strength. The next morning, Jinho collects Jinwoo and Song-Yi, the latter of whom puzzles him with her close bond to Jinwoo. The episode concludes with our trio embarking on their next adventure, leaving a trail of intrigue and anticipation in their wake.
