Episode 7 of Solo Leveling Season 2 kicks off with Baek and Choi stepping into the Hunters' Association building, greeted by a swarm of reporters eagerly probing about their intentions to recruit Lee Minsung. Baek firmly corrects their misconceptions, clarifying that their visit serves another purpose entirely, which prompts the reporters to finally back off and leave them in peace.
Inside the building's entrance, Choi and Baek find themselves in a heated debate over their desire to recruit Jinwoo. Just before they make their way in, a lackey of Minsung's approaches them, teasingly asking if they're squabbling over Minsung's recruitment. Baek and Choi swiftly dismiss his suggestion, affirming their disinterest in Minsung. Meanwhile, Jinwoo observes the scene from a distance, silently confirming his own mission to reassess his hunter rank.
As Minsung's press conference unfolds, he boldly declares his awakening and intentions to reassess his hunter rank, voicing his aspiration to fight under the command of Lim Tae-gyu, the esteemed master of the Fiend Guild. In his heart, Minsung harbors a two-year plan to establish himself as a Fiend Guild hunter, believing that his scandals will fade into obscurity and pave the way for his eventual return to the entertainment industry.
Meanwhile, Jinwoo attempts to enter the building amidst the conference buzz. A worker halts his progress, citing the ongoing event. Fortunately, Go arrives on the scene, instructing the worker to grant Jinwoo access. Jinwoo and Go then proceed inside. On the other hand, Minsung tries to follow suit, eager to reassess his own hunter rank. However, Woo stands in his way, blocking his path.
Jinwoo, accompanied by Go and another gentleman, ventured deeper into the building. The unnamed individual informed Jinwoo that it was imperative to verify his hunter ability system. Go egged Jinwoo on to demonstrate the full extent of his summoning prowess. Choi and Baek, sensing Jinwoo's power, were utterly perplexed by its immense magnitude.
Moments ticked by as the man handed Jinwoo his freshly minted hunter license. Jinwoo harbored plans to sell a certain item and embark on the conquest of Demon's Castle. As he prepared to depart, Choi and Baek sought to engage him in conversation, but Jinwoo dismissed them, citing his busyness. Just as Jinwoo was about to leave, the press descended upon him like a flock of vultures.
Simultaneously, Song-Yi informed Jinah that Jinwoo was featured on television. The duo learned with astonishment that Jinwoo had ascended to the ranks of the 10th S-rank hunter in history. After witnessing various reactions to the groundbreaking news, Jinho met with Myunghan. Jinho confessed his inability to recruit Jinwoo, who had expressed a desire to focus solely on enhancing his own strength. He argued fervently that joining an organization would only stifle his growth. Jinho further revealed that Jinwoo had urged him to follow in his footsteps. Myunghan berated Jinho for his shortcomings, but Jinho stood firm in his resolve to follow Jinwoo.
Elsewhere, Choi and Baek struggled to extricate Jinwoo from the clutches of the persistent press. Leveraging his immense strength, Jinwoo managed to wriggle free from their grip. He then made his way to a Hunter Auction site, where he encountered a seller. Jinwoo affirmed his intention to acquire an artifact that could shield him from the scorching heat of dungeons.
The seller presented him with a cloak and a ring. While Jinwoo expressed interest in the items, he was less than thrilled with their exorbitant pricing. In jest, the seller offered to give Jinwoo the items for free if he could shatter the glass casing them. However, the seller quickly intervened, laughing off his own proposition as a mere joke.
Suddenly, another seller stepped forward, offering to assist Jinwoo in finding a suitable weapon. The seller unveiled a weapon, but Jinwoo balked at its equally steep price. Realizing the disparity, Jinwoo noted that the weapons he purchased from The Player Log's shop were even more expensive.
Meanwhile, Baek finds himself deeply contemplating Jinwoo's extraordinary abilities, speculating that Jinwoo is indeed a hunter whose strength knows no bounds and continues to grow. Jinwoo then returns to his home, informing Jinah that he will be absent for a week. As Jinah listens, Jinho arrives, and Jinwoo introduces him to his sister. He reveals that he will be collaborating with Jinho for the upcoming week, starting from the next day.
Later, Jinwoo conjures a number of his formidable High Orc shadows, entrusting two of them to Jinah for her protection during his absence. With a sense of duty, Jinwoo proceeds to the rooftop, summoning even more shadow soldiers and commanding them to keep a vigilant watch over the surroundings.
The following morning, Jinho drives Jinwoo to Daesung Tower. Jinwoo informs Jinho that he will be dedicating his time to training. Upon reaching the Demon's Castle dungeon, Jinwoo equips himself with various accessories, familiarizes himself with his new missions, and teleports swiftly to the 76th floor.
While Myunghan succumbs to exhaustion at his home, Jinwoo encounters a colossal demon on the 76th floor. Summoning a High-Orc shadow named Kiba, Jinwoo hands him a mystical item known as the Sphere of Avarice. With the sphere's power, Kiba unleashes a devastating attack, annihilating the demon. In a hospital room, Myunghan's wife relates to him that he collapsed due to overwork. The arrival of Myunghan's doctor brings grim news, suggesting that he might be suffering from the dreaded Eternal Slumber disease.
The narrative shifts back to Jinwoo after two hunters encounter a peculiar bug-like magic beast. Jinwoo confirms that he has reached the 80th floor, explaining that he has divided his shadow army into four groups. Learning that the first group is in distress, Jinwoo promptly investigates. He comes across the Demon Knight who had caused trouble for his first group and engages them in battle. After successfully defeating three out of the four Demon Knights, Jinwoo confronts the last one.
The episode concludes with Jinwoo pondering whether magic beasts are capable of feeling fear, leaving viewers on a cliffhanger, eager for more.
