Stick – Season 1 Episode 6 1

Post-round, Santi seeks Pryce's counsel on navigating his burgeoning relationship with Zero. Torn between honesty and deception, his quandary stems from a poignant truth: he is a virgin. Pryce, taken aback, eventually steering Santi towards embracing the "high wire" act of authenticity.

That fateful night, Zero and Santi find themselves in her cozy confines, where passionate kisses soon blossom. Santi, gathering his courage, confesses his virginity, only to discover that Zero shares the same status. Their mutual vulnerability fosters a profound trust, paving the way for a night filled with tender intimacy.

Elsewhere, Elena and Mitts' camaraderie blossoms, with Elena eagerly presenting her helium balloon business idea to him. However, their conversation abruptly halts as Pryce and Santi's arrival interrupts. Elena, frustrated, later lambasts Mitts for his timing, venting her lifelong frustration with being heard by men, ironic given her proactive approach. She exhorts Mitts to emulate her boldness and seize his own life's opportunities.

Mitts' moment of risk arrives unexpectedly by the dock, where he kisses Elena, leaving her breathless. Yet, his subsequent silence puzzles and stuns her.

Meanwhile, Zero and Pryce's bond deepens over arcade games, while Santi stumbles upon a puzzle: Pryce's ring nestled in Zero's bag. Zero, holding Santi firmly in her thrall, encourages him to embrace change, starting with a new hairstyle. Their conversation weaves through his Latino heritage and gender dynamics, painting a vivid tapestry of their evolving connection.

The conversation takes a sudden turn when Santi inquiries about the ring, prompting Zero to weave a tale, claiming she discovered it outdoors—a lie that hangs awkwardly in the air. Before resuming their golf game, an unexpected detour arises: a child's birthday party diverts Pryce's attention, evoking poignant memories of Jett. He reaches out to Amber-Lynn, immersed in household chores, and his distress is palpable even over the phone. Sensing his turmoil, she acknowledges it's one of those days for him.

Enter Santi, who plays the role of cheerleader, urging Pryce to engage in pickleball as a distraction. The strategy works wonders, lifting his spirits momentarily. Later that evening, the game also facilitates an emotional opening with Elena, as Pryce confesses the poignant aspects of missing his son—the mundane moments like asking him to turn down the music or worrying over report cards. Sharing these sentiments leaves Pryce deeply saddened, grappling with the profound impact of his absence.

The following morning, Mitts offers Elena a heartfelt apology for his impromptu kiss, concurrently expressing admiration for her helium concept.

We then leap forward to the US Amateur Championship. Amidst a break in play, Zero confesses the truth about her arrangement—revealing that Pryce is compensating her with $10,000 to serve as his caddy. Santi's anger flares, convinced he could have navigated this journey independently of Pryce. He casts aside both Zero, whom he scathingly labels a clown, and storms off.
