Episode 4 of Subteran kicks off with the chaotic aftermath of the police raid, as Golescu delves into the investigation with a meticulous eye. Vasile presents Golescu with a video circulating on an clandestine Telegram channel, where criminals flaunt their illicit exploits with brazen arrogance. Golescu, in a media briefing, solemnly announces the tragic loss of one police officer and the hospitalization of another, while also unveiling the Telegram video as evidence. Furthermore, he releases footage of Bones captured at the Bucharest hotel, stirring up a flurry of excitement and curiosity.
Dracu and Tili, reacting swiftly to the incriminating video, open fire on the two gang members who posted it, their actions as decisive as they are ruthless. However, when faced with Bones and Cami, they hesitate, recognizing that Cami still holds the laptop, a vital piece of the puzzle they need解答. Bones, anticipating such a confrontation, had slyly planted a stun bomb and whispered a covert plan to Cami, instructing her to flee at his signal. The bomb detonates, catching Dracu and Tili off guard, while Cami seizes the moment to slip away undetected.
The police arrive on the scene shortly thereafter, and Tili and Dracu are hastily recalled to Tanase's residence. Meanwhile, Cami, hiding beneath a parked car, finds herself stranded and separated from Bones. Desperate and alone, she makes her way back to the police perimeter and requests to speak with the prosecutor. Spotting Vasile's suspicious gaze, she's compelled to flee once again. She borrows a phone from a waitress to call her mother, but the call rings out unanswered, adding to her mounting despair.
Elsewhere, Bones escapes in disguise, posing as an EMT officer and blending seamlessly into the chaos. Tanase, furious and disheartened, confronts Tili and Dracu for their incompetence, which has led to the loss of his money and his beloved daughter, Crisi. He lambasts Tili for her past misdemeanors, emphasizing that Crisi is the only daughter still on the path of redemption. The tension in the air is palpable, as the stakes rise and the narrative tightens its grip.
After their mother’s death, Tili became involved in violent behaviour, including drugs and murder, and Tanase was forced to constantly clean up her mess. Tanase says that he had promised his dying wife to always protect Crisi and he intends to do so. Also, Tanase finds Crisi’s passport, which means that she did not go to Dubai.
Tanase orders them to find Crisi and his money as soon as possible. We learn that Tanase is anxious about the upcoming deal because it is his ticket to going legal. Tili and Dracu are infuriated since Tanase only cares about his business going clean and Crisi. She tells Dracu that they are both liabilities to his plan to become clean and therefore they have to look out for each other.
With nowhere else to go, Cami decides to go back to her apartment. She uses a burner phone to call her mother, but Bones arrives before they can talk and disconnects the call. They have a showdown about Bones hiding the fact that he was at the hotel room when Luca was killed, but Bones explains the situation.
Cami successfully decrypts Bank’s laptop, finding incriminating information regarding Tanase’s organisation and the crypto. Bones and Cami have to run soon after because Dracu and Tili find her address. However, she manages to download all the information from the laptop to her phone.
Tili and Dracu break into her apartment and find the connection between Cami and Luca. Tili is heartbroken by the possibility that Crisi might be dead. While they are still at the apartment, Crisi’s mother calls her back, and the number is recorded in the countryside.
They discover the countryside address inscribed on the reverse of a photograph pinned to the fridge's magnetic surface. Simultaneously, Bones and Cami hail a taxi, bound for the same rural destination. Unbeknownst to them, one of the taxi drivers is a Tanase organization spy, who promptly informs Tili and Dracu of their whereabouts.
A peek into the ongoing investigation reveals Golescu at the hospital, checking on Tatu's condition. Mrs. Tatu sits vigilantly by her son's bedside, awaiting his awakening. Golescu engages in idle chatter before requesting Tatu's phone, which rests on the bedside table, as potential evidence.
Switching back to Bones and Cami, their taxi halts at a gas station for refueling and a quick water run. Inside the store, Bones spots one of Tanase's men trailing them. The man brutally attacks their driver and confines him in a van. He then slips into the driver's attire, awaiting their return to the vehicle. However, Bones is already one step ahead, having devised a contingency plan. He purchases a charging cable, which he subsequently uses to choke the impersonator when he enters the car, posing as their son. Bones and Cami eject the assailant from the taxi and continue their journey to the countryside themselves.
Meanwhile, Tili arrives first at the countryside location. Cami's mother, a woman of swift wits, hears the motorcycle's roar outside her compound and instructs Matei to flee through the back door. As Cami frantically tries to call her mother's phone, Tili enters the premises, knocking out Cami's mom and seizing the phone. Matei, who has been watching the entire scene unfold from behind the fence, bolts away, following his grandmother's instructions.
Upon reaching the countryside house, Bones and Cami find Cami's mother unconscious. The episode concludes with Cami receiving a chilling call from Tili, displaying Matei's kidnapped figure on the screen.
