Frank Cranebear (Tom Jackson) and Edna briefly revel in the joy of Maggie's pregnancy.

Phoebe Lancaster (Lynda Boyd) reflects that The Crossing was a symbol of freedom for her. During her initial visit, she met Sully, who was "patient" and "generous," traits that led to her falling for him. She reveals that her father discouraged her from forming a relationship with Sully and settling at The Crossing. Initially, they were blissfully happy, but their relationship gradually began to unravel. Maggie speculates that Phoebe pursued a career as a neurosurgeon to gain Walter's approval, to which Phoebe assures her that she is an exceptional neurosurgeon. Just as Sydney Shandon (Lindura) arrives, Sydney inquires about Walter, prompting Phoebe to abruptly excuse herself to get dressed.

Rob Shandon (Reid Price) awakens in bed beside Jane (Cindy Sampson), who invites him to repeat their intimate encounter. He informs her that he must take Sydney to the airport. She suggests they meet for dinner later, but he politely declines before departing.

Maggie confides in Sydney that her feelings towards Andrew have evolved. Sydney encourages her to allow Cal the opportunity to explain his reasons for not wanting children. Maggie wonders if Cal is aware of her pregnancy when Andrew approaches, inquiring about their baby. Noticing Maggie sipping from a mug, he asks if it contains coffee, to which she replies it's merely juice.

Glenn Perry (Dean Armstrong) presents Sully and Frank with a housing development proposal. Sully firmly declines, steadfast in his commitment to honoring his promise to the Mi’kmaq community. Glenn counter-proposes upgrading the cabins to cater to five-star clients. Frank and Glenn then engage in negotiations, ultimately settling on a 30-70 profit split.

Sedona Jones (portrayed by Meghan Ory) spent a cozy night at Cal's abode, and he readily agreed to escort her on a guided tour of The Crossing. Meanwhile, Edna presented Maggie with an adorable onesie for her soon-to-arrive bundle of joy. Maggie confided in Edna, expressing her doubts about a future with Cal. Edna reassured her, contending that certain risks are undeniably worth embracing.

Elsewhere, Connie Boyle (played by Lauren Hammersley) was patiently awaiting her order when Alysa Mackenzie (Michelle Nolden) approached, inquiring if she had somehow offended her. Connie confessed to having abruptly left after a man mocked her for her affair with a woman. Alysa encouraged her to disregard his remarks and carry on unperturbed.

Edna apologized to Phoebe and inquired about her future plans. Phoebe admitted her mistake in taking Maggie away and severing ties. Edna reminisced, stating that Phoebe had been like a sister to her. Phoebe claimed that Walter had persuaded her that staying away would be in Maggie's best interest.

Sully informed Maggie that he and Glenn might have brokered a deal. Frank cautioned against placing too much trust in Glenn, but Sully reassured him that Glenn was a man of his word. Maggie refused to entertain Andrew's proposal, even after Sully pledged to give Andrew another chance. Andrew arrived with an assortment of medical supplies from the local pharmacy. Maggie reminded him that she was a competent doctor, but he insisted that she was carrying their cherished new life. Maggie then caught Sully off guard by suggesting a fishing trip for everyone. Andrew reluctantly agreed, despite his lack of fishing prowess. Later, Sully, Maggie, Phoebe, and Andrew embarked on their fishing excursion. Phoebe apologized for her past actions that led to Maggie's separation.

Rob confessed to Cal that he had developed feelings for Jane, his first love since Sarah's demise. Cal sympathized, noting that he had felt similarly after Lynn passed away. He assured Rob that Sarah would want him to find happiness. At the river, Sully attempted to tutor Andrew in the art of fishing, but the endeavor was less than successful. Sully apologized for his earlier remarks. Andrew left it up to Sully to mend their relationship.

Lola Gunderson, portrayed by Amalia Williamson, confides in Sedona about being a victim of a hit-and-run accident during her youth. Cal interjects, stating categorically that no incriminating evidence ties anyone to the incident. Lola claims a complete lack of recall, prompting Sedona to gently suggest revisiting the scene in hopes it might jog her memory.

Andrew informs Maggie that he has work-related matters to attend to, much to her surprise as he had just arrived. She queries whether he intends to fake enjoyment, and he acknowledges her decision to decline Dr. Callahan's job offer. He reassures her that staying home to care for their baby is the right choice for her and gently nudges her to consider his proposal. Maggie, however, walks away without uttering a word.

Edna apprises Frank of Lorne's expressed remorse over Frank's mother's ceremonial regalia. Frank dismisses it, claiming he didn't mention it to avoid causing her distress. Edna persists, urging him to confront Lorne, but Frank declines outright just as Andrew and Maggie arrive. While Andrew washes his hands, Maggie remarks on Sully's efforts to bond with Phoebe, hinting at her wish for Andrew to reciprocate. Sedona interrupts Cal, complaining of a headache and her intention to lie down. Maggie and Andrew greet Cal, and Andrew inquiries whether Sedona is his girlfriend. Cal clarifies that she is his sister before congratulating Maggie on her pregnancy, much to Maggie's astonishment. She turns to Andrew, accusing him of betraying her trust by sharing the news with their friends, and storms off.

Cal returns to the cabin where Sedona is visibly distressed by the noise of imagined children outside. He reassures her that no children are present, but she persists in pleading for her headache to cease. A concerned text from Chris appears on her phone, adding to the tension. Meanwhile, Maggie confronts Andrew for sharing her pregnancy news with their friends. He brushes it off as insignificant, but she vehemently disagrees. She asserts her independence and capability, while he accuses her of overreacting.

Sully and Phoebe return from their exhilarating fishing trip, sensing the underlying tension between Edna and Frank. Phoebe hastily excuses herself to freshen up, leaving Sully to mediate between the two. Frank reveals Lorne's call and steadfastly refuses to heed Edna's or Sully's advice.

Cal confronts Sedona, revealing he's had a conversation with Chris, and inquisitively wonders why she abruptly deserted her husband and children, leaving them clueless about her whereabouts. She responds with sarcasm, noting his own drastic change—abandoning his law practice to relocate to a campground. He counters, reminding her that the responsibility of children rests solely on her shoulders. Sedona reassures him, insisting she is faring well.

Connie extends an invitation to Alysa, seeking an opportunity to unburden her past. She confides that her family instilled shame in her for being gay, a burden her marriage to Tom alleviated, if only momentarily. Alysa offers empathy, acknowledging her struggles. Elsewhere, Maggie breaks the news to Andrew that she intends to resume her career post-partum. His mind drifts back to a shared vision of their future, filled with aspirations and dreams. Maggie shares how The Crossing has rekindled a part of her that had faded away. He claims to have always sensed this but harbored hope that the arrival of their child would strengthen their bond. She reassures him of his perpetual role in their child's life but emphasizes the necessity of forging this path alone.

At the Outpost, an awkward silence persists between Frank and Edna. Maggie informs Sully of Andrew's departure to Boston, acknowledging the demise of their relationship. Cal and Sedona arrive in search of Edna, but their conversation is abruptly cut short when Sedona suffers a seizure, leaving the episode on a tense cliffhanger.
