In Episode 8 of "Surely Tomorrow," the story begins with Ji-woo warmly greeting Mr. Kim as they reunite after years apart. Mr. Kim then takes Ji-woo and Kyeong-do for a drive, engaging in a conversation about Ji-woo's divorce. Ji-woo wonders how Kyeong-do and Mr. Kim have maintained their connection over the years. A flashback reveals Mr. Kim visiting Kyeong-do's father at the hospital after Ji-woo moved to the States following their second breakup. There, Mr. Kim offers Kyeong-do some cash and insists that he keep the money to help with his father's treatment.

In the present day, Ji-woo and Kyeong-do are in bed as she thanks him for bringing Mr. Kim back to work for her. She convinces Kyeong-do to take photos of her at the office building on her first day at work. Mr. Kim drives Ji-woo to the office building, where she is nervous during the ride, but Kyeong-do takes a photo of her walking into the building. Later that day, Kyeong-do's colleagues read the article and indirectly tease him for being a lovesick puppy who takes photos of Ji-woo.
Shortly after, Kyeong-do receives a call from the pharmacist confirming the drug test results from the coffee he submitted. The pharmacist claims that the coffee contained traces of Didroxin, a drug used to treat a chronic vascular disease called Stick Syndrome. Kyeong-do is shocked to learn that the drug is toxic and can lead to memory loss and eventually Alzheimer's. He looks up the drug online and decides to inform Ji-yeon.
At her office, Kyeong-do tells Ji-yeon about the analysis and asks her to be wary of her secretary, Ms. Yoo. Ji-yeon is shocked to discover that she was being drugged and refuses to believe Min-woo would do something like this to her. Kyeong-do urges Ji-yeon to install a spy camera in the office building to keep an eye on Secretary Yoo and to talk to Ji-woo about everything. Ji-yeon asks him to give her some time to deal with the situation first.
Later that night, Kyeong-do and Ji-woo walk home together, chatting about Ji-woo's first day at work, their conversation filled with warmth and camaraderie as they share stories and experiences from their past.
The following day, Se-young unveiled a portrait she had created for Ji-woo, proudly revealing the significant expense she had incurred for it. Concurrently, Doo-jin confided to Kyeong-do that he had received the tip about Da-hye and Jin-eon's affair from a random delivery. Jin-eon added that he had shown the article to Han-kyung before publishing, but she had declined to let him proceed. Despite her objections, Doo-jin insisted that he had gone ahead with the publication. Kyeong-do requested that he meet with Da-hye and write another article to mitigate the scandal. However, Han-kyung overheard their conversation and prohibited Doo-jin from doing so, but Kyeong-do vowed to write it himself.
That evening, the group gathered at Kyeong-do's apartment for dinner. Se-young and Woo-sik presented the portrait to Ji-woo, who was deeply impressed by the artwork. Jeong-min unexpectedly encountered Nam-sook, who was delivering side dishes for the group. He warmly invited her to join them, but Nam-sook politely declined.
Ji-woo, curious about Nam-sook, went out to meet her. She found herself at a laundromat, where she engaged in a heartfelt conversation with Kyeong-do's mother. Returning to the apartment, Kyeong-do dined with his friends, wondering where Ji-woo had gone. He praised the portrait and remarked that he had a very pretty girlfriend. Meanwhile, Ji-woo shared a cupcake with Nam-sook as they talked. Ji-woo introduced herself to Kyeong-do's mother.
Nam-sook asked Ji-woo to address her as "Mother," which deeply touched her. The two parted ways, with Ji-woo assuring Nam-sook of her immense love for Kyeong-do. Nam-sook, attempting to ease Ji-woo's nerves, walked her back to Kyeong-do's apartment.
After a sumptuous dinner, Woo-sik and Se-young whisk Jeong-min away, leaving Ji-woo and Kyeong-do alone. Kyeong-do inquires about Ji-woo's conversation with his mother. Ji-woo shares the lighthearted banter they exchanged and then dives into her work, revealing her decision to shut down Chairman Seo's brand, Manzaar, under Jarim.
A flashback from earlier that day shows Ji-woo addressing the Jarim board members, proposing the launch of a new fine-dining restaurant as a luxury brand tailored for South Korea. Min-woo argues that the idea is unrealistic, but Ji-woo defends her vision and promises to present a detailed plan. Ji-yeon is proud to see Ji-woo working proactively for the company's future.
Later that day, Ji-yeon visits her doctor, who confirms everything Kyeong-do told her about the drug. The doctor explains that he initially prescribed Didroxin for her vascular illness but changed the prescription after learning about its link to Alzheimer's. He assures her that since she stopped taking it in time, she has nothing to worry about. Ji-yeon does not tell him that Min-woo continued giving her the drug.
Meanwhile, Ji-woo enlists Kyeong-do's help in securing a popular Korean designer based in Australia named Bella Jin. Kyeong-do tries to brush it off, but Ji-woo is determined. He suggests tracking the designer down at an upcoming international event.
The next day, Ji-yeon calls Kyeong-do to update him on her doctor's visit and asks him not to tell Ji-woo anything about her memory loss. She thanks him for his help. Kyeong-do convinces Han-kyung to let him assist Ji-woo as a way to return the favor for her help with the LV article. At the same time, Jin-eon talks to his father about wanting Ji-woo back. His father scolds him for cheating on her.
That night, Kyeong-do tells Ji-woo about another designer, Judy Wong, who will also be attending the same event as Bella Jin. Ji-woo decides to go to the international event in Malaga, Spain, and books their flight tickets.
The next day, Han-kyung is shocked to learn about Kyeong-do's sudden four-day leave. At the airport, Mr. Kim teases Kyeong-do by calling him Ji-woo's secretary. As Ji-woo and Kyeong-do head toward the boarding gate, Min-woo's spy secretly photographs them together. Min-woo is stunned to discover that they are back together.
That evening, he discusses this with Jin-eon. Jin-eon lashes out, accusing Ji-woo of luring him into a relationship with Da-hye just to divorce him. He then tells Min-woo that Ji-woo is not Chairman Seo's biological daughter. The revelation shocks Min-woo, though he does not react.
Meanwhile, Ji-woo and Kyeong-do check into their Airbnb and search for Bella Jin. They visit several locations across the city but fail to find her. Kyeong-do assures Ji-woo that they will meet the designer the next day. They decide to explore Malaga as tourists and spend a relaxed evening together.
At a flea market, Kyeong-do picks out a scarf for Ji-woo. A woman attempts to snatch it from him, but Ji-woo steps in and tells her to back away. The woman praises Ji-woo's wit as Jarim's representative. Kyeong-do is stunned when he realizes the woman is Bella Jin herself.
The episode ends with a flashback of Han-kyung convincing her friend Kim Ga-eul to ensure that Bella Jin meets Ji
