As Kyle grapples with the demise of his relationship, Annie and Jackson continue their clandestine affair. Unable to attend Annie's birthday party, Jackson drives to Serenity under the cover of darkness to wish her a joyous celebration.

On a similar note, Maddie finds herself nearly late as well, detained by an unplanned meeting with Vernon, the acting Mayor. He seeks to discuss the grievances voiced by the townsfolk, prompting Maddie to hand over a folder she's been meticulously maintaining since their recall meeting.

As the party finally swings into gear, Annie's joy knows no bounds; her parents have heeded her wishes, throwing the exact celebration she envisioned. She also forges a close bond with Lily, their camaraderie blooming effortlessly.
