Ted Lasso - Season 3 Episode 8 1

As Jake briefly steps away, Michelle shares with Ted the exciting news of a surprise trip to Paris, a revelation that ignites a spark of intrigue in Ted's mind. Meanwhile, Keeley and Jack, amidst their playful antics in bed, receive an invitation to Keeley's 'uncle' Bernie's polo event, a family friend who wields immense influence in the world of luxury brands like Louis Vuitton. Ecstatic about the prospect, Keeley can't contain her excitement, while Jack eagerly anticipates introducing his girlfriend to her world.

However, just as their plans take shape, Keeley's phone begins to buzz incessantly, delivering her a jolting piece of news. In a bedroom far away, Nate, nestled beside Jade as she awakens, casually broaches the subject of labels in their relationship, all the while maintaining a nonchalant demeanor.

Unbeknownst to them, a private and intimate video of Keeley has been leaked, now circulating the internet. In a moment of distress, Jack steps in to reassure her, vowing to handle the situation.

Elsewhere, Will utilizes Henry's chores as a guise for play, while Ted shares with his closest confidants the news of Michelle and Jake's impending engagement. The Diamond Dogs gather, Roy retreating to another room, Leslie panting as she rushes to Ted's office, even Trent joining the huddle. However, their excitement wanes when they realize the couple is merely embarking on a trip to Paris, and Ted's assumption of their engagement is merely speculation. They encourage him to not fret over what has yet to unfold.

At the bustling West Ham office, Nate's vision for his unique Love Hounds team was taking shape, enlisting Roger and Disco, two dedicated staffers. However, his hopes were dashed when Rupert, the supposed cornerstone, snubbed his invitation. Following a string of disastrous suggestions like insulting one's crushes and suppressing emotions, Nate reluctantly buried the Love Hounds concept for good.

Ted, with a determined stride, ascended to Rebecca's office and pleaded with her to engage a private investigator to uncover the mysteries surrounding Michelle and Jake. Initially attempting to dissuade him, Rebecca eventually relented.

In Keeley's office, she was navigating through a deluge of scathing comments stemming from her controversial video. Barbara intervened, offering an apology for the entire ordeal, and presented Keeley with a statement from Jack. The words were crafted as an apology from Keeley herself, regretting the video's creation, yet refraining from judging those who leaked it.

In the locker room of Richmond, the boys were abuzz with news of numerous renowned women whose nude photos had been leaked. Opinions were polarized, with Isaac, Sam, and Jamie standing firm in support, purging any compromising media from their phones. On the other hand, Colin and a few others argued that the photos sent to them belonged to them now.

Upon discovering that Keeley was one of the victims, Isaac swiftly intervened, ordering everyone to delete the photos immediately. When Colin retreated to another room, Isaac followed, demanding compliance. As Isaac perused Colin's phone, he was struck by what he saw, leading him to abruptly halt and walk away in shock.

Keeley poured her heart out to Rebecca, sharing the entire ordeal, and as anticipated, received unwavering sympathy and support. When Keeley presented Rebecca with the statement Jack had sent, Rebecca surmised that it was likely penned by the lawyers, not Jack himself. She gently prodded Keeley to engage in a dialogue with Jack.

Roy encountered Keeley and inquired about her well-being, but his attempt at empathy faltered when he clumsily asked her who the video was intended for.

Back home, Jack confessed to Keeley that it was indeed the lawyers who had crafted the letter, and he comprehended Keeley's reluctance to post it.

After reading Henry a bedtime story, Ted engaged in a casual conversation about school, homework, friends, and inevitably, Jake. Henry revealed that Jake indeed hung out with him while watching television, but fell asleep before he could elaborate on the subject.

As Nate received Jade's warm morning greeting, he hesitated between addressing her affectionately or maintaining a formal tone. Meanwhile, Keeley, dressed to the nines, presented Jack with a sumptuous breakfast, eagerly anticipating the glamorous polo event. However, her aspirations were quickly squashed when Jack revealed he'd canceled it, assuming Keeley would prefer to steer clear of the cameras' glare. The pair then decided to spend a leisurely day together.

Ted and Coach Beard had planned a day off to bond with Henry, but their plans were hijacked when Henry expressed a desire to watch a football match. With only one game on offer, a West Ham fixture, the trio headed to the stadium. Excitedly, Henry wore his West Ham jersey and waved enthusiastically at Nate from the stands, but Nate remained oblivious.

As Keeley and Jack indulged in a round of golf during their off-day, they encountered one of Jack's university friends. She was there to celebrate her sister's bachelorette party, but the awkward moment came when Jack introduced Keeley as a mere friend, not his girlfriend.

After securing a victory on the green, Nate received a text from Rupert apologizing for Ted's unintended presence at the game and assuring him that Ted would not be granted another invite. Initially, Nate was poised to respond with a lighthearted acceptance, finding the situation amusing, but he reconsidered and concurred with Rupert's decision.

Back at the pub, Ted, Beard, and Henry settled in for a few drinks. Henry narrowly avoided being denied his milk when Mae caught sight of his West Ham jersey. Suddenly, a street musician began strumming a guitar and singing "Hey Jude," igniting a spark of excitement in Henry's eyes, while Ted was more distracted by a message from Rebecca concerning Michelle and Jake.

As Ted converses on the phone, Beard recounts the tale of "Hey Jude" to Henry, elucidating how McCartney penned it for Lennon's son Julian, during a time when his parents had parted ways. Beard urges Henry to 'transform a sorrowful melody into a beacon of hope,' reassuring him that his parents' love remains steadfast and that brighter days are ahead. Rebecca offers her own counsel, chastising Ted for his obsession with the past and lack of appreciation for the present. She encourages him to embrace the joy of singing "Hey Jude" with his son.

Jack confronts Keeley, informing her of a softened version of the statement, yet Keeley remains resolute. Their ensuing dispute reveals Jack's preoccupation with her partner's image and the PR firm's reputation. She even admonishes Keeley for creating such a video in the first place. Keeley stands firm, and as Jack realizes there may be more such videos, she exits the house abruptly.

At Nate's abode, Jade and he share a bottle of wine, as she prompts him to rejoice in his triumphs. He gazes at a photograph of Ted, Beard, and Henry at the West Ham match, mirroring their cheerful smiles with a contented grin of his own. When Jade affectionately calls him her boyfriend, he expresses his contentment with the label.

Jamie appears at Keeley's doorstep, inquiring about her well-being. He apologizes for the leaked video, assuring her that he deleted all traces from his phone but neglected to erase it from his email. She graciously accepts that it wasn't his fault and embraces him. Ted watches Michelle and Henry depart, noticing the absence of a ring on her finger. As Jake eagerly extends a fist bump to Henry, the boy ignores it. Michelle waves goodbye, and the taxi disappears from sight. Ted retreats from the window, lost in contemplation.
