In the sixth episode of "Tell Me Lies," the story unfolds on Valentine's Day, 2009, where Wrigley and Pippa share an awkward morning. As Pippa heads out to meet Diana, Wrigley gazes at photos he took of Bree for their class.

In Diana's dorm room, Pippa discusses the upcoming goth-themed party with her friend. Diana voices her concern about Pippa's continued relationship with Wrigley and announces that she'll be skipping the party. Suddenly, Diana receives a call from her mother, who reveals that her father has received nude photos of Diana. Diana realizes that Stephen has shared her nudes after she angered him about her LSAT score. She decides to do nothing about it, which angers Pippa.
That evening, Bree and Lucy prepare for the party while Pippa shows up. Lucy helps Pippa with her makeup, while Bree receives a call from her mother, who announces that she'll be attending Bree's photography exhibit the following day. Bree shares this news with her friends but asks them to keep it a secret from Evan.
At the party, Wrigley feels uncomfortable as Bree and Evan flirt, while Lucy panics when she learns that Stephen will be there too. Bree tells Lucy that she has invited Alex to be her plus one, but Lucy worries that seeing her with Alex will further anger Stephen.
Stephen arrives at the party with Tegan and is eager to show off his new "arm candy" to his friends. The reaction to Tegan is lukewarm as Bree takes Lucy away. She asks Alex to stay by Lucy's side, but Lucy is upset when she learns that Bree has already informed Alex about her relationship with Stephen and what Chris had done to her. She realizes that Alex was being kind and sensitive to her because he thought she was a sexual assault victim.
Lucy notices Chris following Pippa and goes after him. Chris confronts Pippa about their night together, asking if she felt assaulted that night. Pippa is scared and forced to deny the allegations Lucy has made against Chris.
Lucy finds Pippa and asks about her conversation with Chris. Pippa begs Lucy to back off from confronting Chris, as she is not comfortable talking about it. The tension between these friends continues to rise as they navigate their complex relationships and hidden secrets.
Meanwhile, Pippa discovers Wrigley and wraps her arms around him for comfort, as Bree watches from a distance. At the same time, Stephen calls Lucy to introduce her to Tegan. Alex joins them, becoming a protective shield for Lucy. Stephen attempts to embarrass her, but Alex steps in to defend the girl. In private, he asks if Lucy is scared of Stephen, but she refuses to speak on the matter. Bree meets Amanda and apologizes for her previous actions. She is shocked to discover that Amanda is still a minor, leading her to conclude that Oliver is a child sexual predator.
Meanwhile, Evan shares his summer plans with Bree, Alex, Lucy, Wrigley, and Pippa. Bree joins in and reveals that she hasn't made any plans yet. She brings up her birth mother and reveals that she will be spending the summer with Mary. Evan is skeptical about Bree's decision, and the two engage in an argument.
Alex leaves to sell some drugs to a client while Tegan invites the group to join her and Stephen for a game of Paranoia. The group writes a bunch of questions and draws one out. They whisper the question to one member of the group, who has to name another person as their answer. If the person who was named wants to know what the question is, they take a shot, and the question is revealed. The game starts smoothly, with Evan naming Bree as the most beautiful person and Wrigley naming Pippa as his favorite person. Lucy claims that Evan is most likely to live off his parents' money, while Wrigley claims that Stephen is most likely to end up in prison. Evan suggests that Lucy secretly hates herself, while Wrigley chooses Stephen for another question.
The scene unfolds with vivid descriptions of characters' emotions and interactions, painting a clear picture of their relationships and dynamics. The use of descriptive language enhances the story's atmosphere and makes it more engaging for the reader.
Stephen resolutely refuses to take the shot that would reveal the question, leaving Lucy dismayed. Stephen turns to Pippa, inquiring about who among them is most likely to cheat. Pippa bluntly asserts that it's Stephen himself, causing him further distress. Pippa then picks a provocative question and asks Bree who among them is most likely to end their own life. Bree names Wrigley, recalling their conversation in photography class. The group falls silent as Bree attempts to justify her answer. Wrigley leaves, but Bree follows him, trying to explain herself. She brings up her issues with Evan, Amanda, and her mother, which only serves to irritate Wrigley. He questions why Bree feels comfortable discussing her personal life with him but not with her boyfriend, Evan.
Meanwhile, Lucy tries to talk to Pippa about Chris but is pushed away by Pippa, who leaves the party. Lucy attempts to reach Diana on the phone but finds it unreachable. She then runs into Alex, who has returned to the party. Lucy asks him to take her to his dorm room, but Alex refuses to go back yet. Lucy wonders if Alex doesn't want to have sex with her because he pities her. The two decide to grab a drink at Max's bar. Lucy tries to make Alex jealous by throwing herself at Max, causing both of them to become awkward as she embarrasses herself. Alex realizes that Lucy is very drunk and takes her to his apartment.
On the other hand, Bree and Evan get into a fight as they walk back home with Wrigley. Evan tells Bree that she should talk to him about meeting her birth mother. Bree claims that she can make decisions about her life independently, but Evan insists that she should not trust Mary. He leaves, asking Wrigley to walk Bree back to her dorm room.
At Alex's apartment, he tries to talk to Lucy about her issues with Stephen. Lucy starts crying and explains that she's not okay. She asks Alex to be rough with her during sex, and Alex reluctantly complies.
Meanwhile, Wrigley and Bree discuss Evan's need to control Bree's life. Wrigley becomes upset about every member of their friend group making terrible decisions. He praises Pippa for being the perfect girlfriend to him while he struggles with his feelings.
Bree gets away from Wrigley and goes to Oliver's house. She confronts Marianne about Oliver hooking up with a 17-year-old. Marianne is shocked but consoles Bree, who is upset about the entire ordeal.
That night, Lucy and Alex talk about his childhood in foster care, and he implies that he was sexually assaulted, just like Bree. Lucy walks back to the dorm but finds herself outside Stephen's room instead. Shocked, Lucy makes her way back to the girls' dorm, where Diana runs into her.
Diana takes Lucy to her room and the two discuss how Stephen has been making their lives a living hell. Diana tries to give Lucy advice about Stephen and brings up the nudes he shared with her father. She claims that the best thing to do is never to piss him off.
The next morning, Bree wakes up at Marianne's house and walks out on her own. She calls Wrigley and asks to meet. Bree apologizes to him and comes clean about her feelings. Wrigley hugs Bree, but the two end up making out as the episode comes to an end.
