The second episode of The Asset begins with Tea meticulously preparing the store for Ashley's arrival, the air thick with anticipation laced with a hint of tension. Ashley's purchase of a necklace serves as a momentary respite, but Tea's subtle suggestion of a social media collaboration is met with a cool reception from Ashley, who nonetheless accepts her invitation to a welcome-back event, also extending it to Sofia.

Meanwhile, Folke and Jensen tread the halls of justice, securing a warrant to spy on Ashley, their target being Miran albeit indirectly. The judge listens intently to their concerns before granting the warrant.
In a separate scene, Miran pays a visit to Bambi, tucking away a stash of cash under her mattress. As night falls, Ashley gathers with her friends, confiding in them her contemplation of a social media partnership with Tea. Miran's disapproval lingers heavy, warning her that such a move might draw unwanted attention. Ashley senses an underlying unease in his concern but is met with a stubborn silence.
Later that night, Tea meets with Yasin, receiving a phone resembling Ashley's and an order to get close enough to implant spyware on her phone. At the party, Tea does her utmost to be in Ashley's vicinity, showcasing a new bracelet and casually mentioning a past toxic relationship. In a subtle moment, she pretends to snap pictures on her phone, sending the signal for Folke and Yasin to initiate the spyware installation. However, their plans are foiled when Miran's call snatches Ashley's phone away, revealing the failed attempt.
Miran queries Ashley's whereabouts, and she offers a half-hearted excuse. Just as she prepares to leave, Tea gifts them a goodie bag, using the opportunity to present Sofia with a bracelet and capture more images of Ashley. She deftly erases the message from Ashley's phone.
Elsewhere, Miran spots Erik at a local football game, where Erik subtly lays down a threat on Bambi. The urgency in Erik's tone hints at an anxious need for his products from Miran, despite the delay. Miran finds himself in a precarious position, struggling to move the money and acquire the drugs without raising suspicion.
As night descends upon the household, Sofia shows her father the bracelet Tea had given her. Miran sifts through Ashley's phone and peruses Tea's Instagram, his mind racing with Erik's threats and the intricate web of lies he weaves to protect those he loves.
As the hours ticked by, Folke implored Tea to focus relentlessly on winning over Ashley's trust. He explained that until the eavesdropping was complete, Ashley would be on her own. The following day, Ashley extended an invitation to Tea for a girls' night out. The ensemble gathered at her abode to get glammed up, with Ashley lending Tea a gown for the club and in passing mentioning that Sofia's bracelet was missing.
As they chatted, Ashley confided in Tea her desire to make Sofia proud of her. The conversation shifted to their mothers, and Tea, though not particularly proud of her own mother's alcoholism, commended Ashley's parenting skills. She challenged Ashley to aspire for more than just the status quo.
At the club, the girls indulged in a lively night of drinking and dancing, before being joined by their respective partners and Bambi. The group indulged in some cocaine, with Tea joining in to fit in. However, as the drugs took hold, she began to panic and huddled in the bathroom with Ashley's phone.
Using the distraction, Tea installed the spyware on Ashley's phone but was cornered by Miran in the bathroom, who warned her to stay away. Shortly after, Tea left, and Ashley realized Miran had likely threatened her. Her mood shifted abruptly, and she began to treat Miran with indifference.
Upon returning home, Ashley and Miran engaged in a heated argument about Tea. Miran viewed her as a negative influence and wanted Ashley to stay away from her. Frustrated by his attempts to control her life, Ashley lashed out with sharp words. Folke, Tea, and Yasin listened in on the fight, with Tea briefing them on who was at the club and what Miran had said, which led Folke to be thrilled with Tea's work.
