The Auditors – Season 1 Episode 7 1

Determined to uncover the truth, Han-soo and Cha-il delve into the murky depths of the dark web, tracking the trail of the suspicious email accessed by Yeon-woo. Their meticulous pursuit, however, meets with skepticism from Cha-il, who, bound by President Se-woong's ironclad directive to postpone the audit until after the J-BIMS showcase, dismisses Han-soo's concerns. Yet, beneath the surface, Cha-il silently embarks on his own covert investigation of Manager Park.

As the web of deceit tightens, Dae-woong's shocking discovery of an employee's suicide, allegedly fueled by Cha-il's audit, casts a grim shadow over their endeavors. Amidst this emotional turmoil, Han-soo's relentless pursuit of the truth continues from the confines of his home, their combined efforts yielding no immediate fruit.

Undaunted, they hatch a plan to infiltrate the office under the guise of a mundane excuse, their hearts pounding with anticipation. Han-soo's eagle eye zeroes in on a crucial detail—a demo of the highly confidential J-BIMS project, innocuously attached to the spurious email in Manager Park's response. His urgent whisper alerts Cha-il, but their triumph is fleeting.

Manager Park's system alerts him to the unauthorized access, and the general manager is swiftly notified. In a dramatic turn of events, when Han-soo presents their hard-won evidence, the attachment, now rendered invalid, mocks their efforts. A layer of deception unravels, revealing Cha-il's secret directive to Han-soo: to pursue this case with utmost discretion. The stage is set for a thrilling climax, as the duo navigates the treacherous waters of corporate espionage, their every move scrutinized and their resolve tested.

Suspicion's icy fingers now grip Manager Park, but a shocking revelation from Cha-il melts the assumption: it could be the general manager, the very pinnacle of the organization, who's secretly siphoning technology. Cha-il's sleuthing unearths a mundane sheet of paper in the general manager's sanctum, a stark contrast to the traceable, specialized parchment mandated for R&D. This seemingly innocuous find hints at a devious scheme—using the untraceable paper as a cloak for espionage.

The following dawn, Seo-jin joins the fray, lending her expertise to unravel the web of deceit. As night descends, Han-soo shadows the general manager, who engages in shadowy dealings: procuring a passport under a false name from a document forger's lair. Han-soo and Cha-il swiftly apprehend the forger and then storm into the office, confronting Manager Park, a man who's been unjustly burdened by the general manager's whims.

Delving deeper, Cha-il uncovers a sordid past of the general manager's reign, through interviews with his former subordinates. They whisper tales of subtle yet relentless bullying, a malignancy difficult to discern at first glance.

During the pivotal interview with Manager Park, Cha-il drops a bombshell: the general manager is framing him as the technology leak's culprit. Manager Park's confession follows, painting a picture of the general manager's manipulative tactics—from responding to a spurious email to bullying Yeon-woo out of the J-BIMS project. With this revelation, Manager Park vows to aid the audit team wholeheartedly, recognizing the general manager's true colors at last.

The next day, the general manager's suspicious behavior escalates, as he resets the cloud server's password to a simplistic sequence. Amidst a presentation, Cha-il halts proceedings, his finger pointed accusingly at a man who doesn't belong among the reporters. With conviction, he brands the stranger as the broker, the link in the chain of betrayal.
