The sixth episode of 'The 'Burbs' begins with a flashback to a month ago, where we see Gary ushering Alison into the house in the dead of night, reminding her that their secret must be kept. The narrative then shifts to her perspective, as we witness several pivotal events through her eyes.

In the present, Rob and Samira are left pondering the reasons behind Gary and Alison's return. They receive a visit from Samira's brother, Langston, who is visibly concerned about the couple after Samira's cryptic call from the woods on her way to the bunker. He volunteers to take care of Miles while the couple embarks on a proper date.
Dana and Tod update Lynn on the previous night's events, but she seems preoccupied by Bill Festerson mowing his lawn. Lynn confides in Dana that she might be developing feelings for Bill.
Rob, Samira, and Naveen devise a plan to speak with Alison again. Knowing Gary's movements, Samira suggests approaching her when he leaves the house at 11:52 AM. After Gary departs, Naveen attempts to knock on the door, but Alison remains unresponsive.
Rob and Samira follow Gary as he heads to a pilates class and then to Drinkley's. They observe him arguing with a bartender and decide to stall him by pretending that Gary is part of their team for the pub's trivia night.
Gary attempts to leave, but Samira stops him and threatens to reveal Alison's existence to everyone. They demand an explanation, and Gary reluctantly admits that he is Hank's brother. Rob recalls hearing that Hank moved to Hawaii, prompting Gary to contradict the claim.
At home, Lynn has a heart-to-heart with Marty (the body in her refrigerator) and asks for permission to pursue Bill. She hears a noise from inside the refrigerator and interprets it as assent. She then heads to Agnes' house and declares loudly that she's going for a walk in the woods.
Bored with babysitting duties, Langston joins Dana and Tod on their spying mission. The narrative is now filled with suspense and anticipation, setting the stage for further developments in the story.
Meanwhile, Naveen attempts to capture Alison's attention by blasting 'Hey There Delilah' from loudspeakers, but to no avail. He then resorts to sitting outside her door, chatting persistently until she finally concedes and lets him in. She explains what transpired, revealing that she met John, but he wasn't who he claimed to be. He had kidnapped her, but Alison used the magic rope trick that Naveen had taught her, and she managed to break free. However, by then, she was already three states away. She leads Naveen to another room, where investigative papers cover the walls. It turns out that Alison and Gary met on an online forum for cold cases. Gary's brother disappeared a year ago, and they suspect a connection to Alison's kidnapping. Surprisingly, Gary isn't a bad guy! In fact, they're working together.
In the woods, Lynn and Bill go for a stroll and end up sharing a kiss. However, Bill reveals that Agnes and Marty were having an affair, which upsets Lynn, and she storms off. Once she's home, she drags Marty out of her refrigerator and yells at him for cheating on her. Unfortunately, Dana and Tod witness this unpleasant scene.
At the bar, Gary goes to the washroom and exits through the back door. It takes Rob and Samira a few minutes to figure it out. They rush back to the Victorian house where Naveen and Alison fill them in on the details. But the surprise is that Gary isn't home yet.
The final scene shows Gary waiting to meet with an informer. The episode ends as someone knocks him out.
