Instantly, a blow strikes her across the face.

The Cleaning Lady – Season 3 Episode 1 1

Despite her plight, Thony strives to uplift Luca De La Rosa (portrayed by Valentino LaSalle and Sebastien LaSalle), reassuring him that Fiona (Martha Millan) will soon be home. Just as she receives a text from Arman confirming their evening meeting, she rushes Luca to bed with the promise of two bedtime stories and entrusts Chris (Sean Lew) with watching over him. Chris hesitates, prompting her to invoke Fiona's name. He accuses her of causing Fiona's deportation, but she avoids elaborating further.

In a heartfelt video chat, Jaz (Faith Bryant) expresses her wish for Fiona to be present at her junior prom. Fiona, apologetic and confessing her love, is interrupted by her phone ringing. Thony informs her that the plane to Manila will touch down in 16 hours, prompting Fiona's concerns about safety. Thony soothes her worries, promising to reunite soon.

Meanwhile, a realtor (Jacob Browne) guides Nadia Morales (Eva De Dominici) through a potential property, with Nadia asserting that the house is for her and pledging a cash offer that very day. Interrupted by a call from Orlando about Arman's flight plans, Nadia refuses authorization and dashes away in a hurry.

Arriving at the hangar, Thony witnesses drugs being loaded onto the plane. Arman insists on the CBP officer adhering to their agreement. Just as she seeks clarification, vehicles speed towards them, and gunfire erupts. A fierce shootout ensues, leaving a CBP officer wounded. Nadia arrives, and Thony leaps into the passenger seat as Nadia maneuvers to the other side where Arman is entangled in a battle. A police cruiser screeches to a halt in front of the hangar, its occupants jumping out and opening fire. Nadia drives to a secure location, demanding answers from Thony.

Denying any involvement in the events leading to the shootout, Thonypleads that all she wants is for Fiona to return home. Nadia, blaming her for the chaos, orders her out of the car.

Fiona, accompanied by Alma De La Rosa's parents, Lolo (Alberto Isaac) and Lola (Princess Punzalan), finds herself reminiscing as she strolls through the bustling market. A nearby pub triggers a vivid flashback. She recalls that she confidently approaches Danilo (Glenn Thomas Cruz) as he engages in a pool game, convincing him to let her try a difficult behind-the-back shot for 3,000 pesos. Thony, ever the pragmatic one, reminds her of their financial constraints. When Fiona successfully pulls off the shot, Danilo's frustration is palpable. Paolo Belleza (JB Tadena) steps in to mediate, prompting Danilo, albeit reluctantly, to fling the money onto the pool table. Returning to the present, Danilo approaches her, revealing that her earnings had paved the way for her journey to America. Fiona apologizes for not bidding them farewell, earning a stern glance from Lola before she and Paolo exchange their goodbyes.

Meanwhile, Nadia struggles to reach Arman, unaware that the FBI is raiding the casino. ASAC Katherine Russo (Liza Well) attempts to persuade Nadia to divulge Arman's whereabouts, invoking his betrayal as leverage. Nadia, amusing herself by glancing at Russo's business card, returns to her office, now under scrutiny by two agents. She soon arrives at the hotel, finding no trace of Arman but confirming that his passport remains concealed in its designated spot.

Thony informs Fiona of the unfolding events, prompting Fiona to speculate that Arman might have escaped. Thony, however, finds this hard to believe, considering he would have contacted her. Later, at the casino, Fiona learns that Nadia too is in the dark about Arman's fate. Nadia insists on his demise, but Thony remains unconvinced. She ponders who could have tipped off the authorities about the drug shipment to Manila, with Thony acknowledging the anonymity of such an informant.

They pay a visit to Arman's parents, Teresa Morales (Jacqueline Obradors) and Eduardo Morales (Jason Manuel Olazabal), hoping for some clarity. Teresa reveals they last saw him 23 years ago, while Eduardo declares him dead to them. Despite this, Teresa pleads for more information about their son. Thony shares how Arman saved Luca, but Eduardo responds coldly, dismissing them. As they depart, Teresa, unable to let go, hands them a cartel pendant.

Elsewhere, Lola, Lolo, and Fiona are preparing the dining table when a rock shatters the window, heralding the arrival of armed Filipina vigilantes (Abby Rey, Alexander Nunn). They storm in, demanding to know Thony's whereabouts, pushing Lolo to the ground. Fiona, maintaining her composure, informs them that Thony is in America and orders them to vacate the premises. She swiftly calls Thony, relaying the dangerous development – a bounty has been placed on the medication she smuggled out. Thony urges them to seek refuge, while Fiona warns that they will come for her and entrusts her to look after Chris, who has no one else. Thony vows to bring Fiona back home safely.

In a moment of introspection, Chris stumbles upon a box of photos and discovers his visa, quickly concealing it upon Thony's approach. She fills him in on the happenings in Manila, leaving him distressed. Seeking solace, he heads to JD's place.

Thony inquiries among her fellow cleaning ladies if they know anyone who could facilitate Fiona's return home. Nina informs her, with a tone of finality, that she herself was born in America, repeating the fact as if it held some significance. Roxy, with a touch of compassion in her voice, offers Thony the contact details of a coyote named Angel.

Chris meticulously packs his possessions, each item symbolizing a chapter of his life. Luca reassures him that Fiona's return will breathe new life into their situation. With a heartfelt plea, Chris urges Luca to take care of his mother. As they embrace, words of longing escape Luca's lips, expressing his sadness at Chris's departure.

Approaching Angel, Thony poses a desperate question: will he smuggle Fiona across the Mexican border for a few thousand dollars? Angel's response chills her to the bone—he agrees only if she transports drugs for him. Steadfast in her refusal, she holds up the Morales pendant, a symbol of her resolve. Angel accuses her of waving a rival cartel's banner in his face, mistaking the pendant for a threat. Determined, she pays him instead to lead her to them. With a snap of his fingers, he commands one of his men to escort Thony to a secluded area.

Fiona confides in Paola, revealing that Chris is her son. She admits to having lied to bring Chris to America, her voice tinged with regret. She describes Chris as a kind-hearted soul, full of compassion. With a plea in her eyes, she begs Paola to spread the word that she is not involved in drug trafficking. Paola, skeptical, demands to know everything.

Left alone, Thony's senses heighten as the sound of approaching four-wheelers echoes through the silence. She frantically tries to open the door, but it remains steadfastly locked. A helmeted figure emerges, firing a shot into the air, the sound reverberating through the night. Clutching the pendant, she declares it belongs to Arman, hoping it might spare her. Instead, a brutal blow strikes her face, sending her reeling. Bound to a chair, she tells Jorge Sanchez that she is Arman's cleaner, her voice trembling. He dismisses her claim, branding her a liar, until he realizes her true identity—the doctor. He offers her a grim promise: tell him where Arman is, and she will live. She admits to using their routes to smuggle medicine, her eyes reflecting the weight of her actions. A black bag is swiftly drawn over her head, plunging her into darkness. Jorge then escorts her to Ramona Sanchez, aka Sin Cara, the figure whose reputation precedes her.

Upon her return to Lolo's, Fiona discovers Chris, who pledges his unwavering commitment to safeguard them both. She expresses her apprehension about navigating the challenges of returning him to the United States, while he reassures her that they will reunite come what may.

Ramona insists on Thony's silence, but Thony breaks the tension by revealing that Arman had saved her and Lucas' lives. Jorge senses that she's holding something back. Ramona vows to assist in finding Arman, yet Thony can't help but remind her that it was her own people who had attacked them in the desert. Ramona firmly denies harboring any ill will towards her nephew, Arman, because of past grievances with Eduardo. She insists that they will locate Arman and ensure his safety.

Meanwhile, Nadia discovers that Arman's phone has been disconnected, adding another layer of concern. Elsewhere, Lucas and Thony engage in a playful food fight, their laughter echoing through the room until interrupted by a knock at the door. Thony opens it to find Susan Redman (played by Rekha Sharma), Luca's caseworker from Child Protective Services, standing there. She informs Thony that Luca has missed a mandatory medical appointment, her tone stern. Thony, feigning ignorance, denies any knowledge of the scheduled exam. Susan, unwavering, demands that Luca accompany her immediately. As the episode concludes, Luca expresses his reluctance to leave, his eyes wide with fear and uncertainty.
