Elsewhere, Thony De la Rosa (Elodie Yung) meticulously packs her belongings, preparing to move in with her newlywed husband, Jorge Sanchez (Santiago Cabrera). Fiona (Martha Millan) pleads with her to stay, suggesting visits instead. Thony emphasizes the importance of their marriage appearing genuine, reassuring Fiona that she and Jorge will navigate their way, albeit with concerns for how it will resonate with Luca (Khalen Roman Sanchez).

Back at the prison, Ramona confides in Jorge about the guards' sinister ultimatum. He claims their finances are tied up in the lithium mine, cautioning her about the repercussions if the mining commissioner denies them an operational license. She questions if he jeopardized their lives for a mere dream, unaware of a guard eavesdropping on their every word. Jorge instructs her to endure until he can orchestrate a prison transfer.

Later, Jorge and Violeta Sanchez (Olivia Frida Filomena) warmly welcome Luca and Thony into their home. Luca, curious, wonders why they're residing in the guest house if it's their abode. Thony, smiling softly, explains it feels cozier there. He gifts Violeta piko, a Filipino version of hopscotch, and Jorge encourages them to play on the sunlit patio. Luca, inquisitive, asks about the armed guards surrounding them. Jorge reassuress him that they keep them safe. Luca, longing for familiarity, expresses a desire to return to Fiona's. Thony gently reminds him of their discussion, urging him to give it a chance. He nods, relenting, and sets off to teach Violeta piko.

Within the prison walls, Ramona unleashes a fury on a female corrections officer (Michelle Waterson). A male guard swiftly intervenes, his eyes meeting hers. The female guard insists on isolation, forcefully escorting Ramona away. Ramona casts a lingering glance back at the male guard, a flicker of intrigue in her eyes.

At the Sanchez estate, Luca and Violeta engage in a lively game of pico on the patio. During a phone call, Jorge urges Feng (Alain Uy) to expedite the money transfer, needing it by the following day. Feng confidently assures him the funds from his crypto will be ready by then. After the call concludes, Thony inquiries if Luca should attend Violeta's school. She insists on having a house key and suggests giving Luca his beloved cereal, Cinnamon Crunch. Greta (Susan Louise O’Connor) offers to pick some up the next day. Jorge warns that Assistant District Attorney Joel Herman (Robert Cicchini) will be keeping a close eye on them and proposes she assist him in hosting the Desert Colosseum's grand reopening. She balks at the idea of being his arm candy. He counters that they must pretend to be a blissful couple. She denies any expertise in such matters. He offers to tutor her, and though hesitant, she reluctantly agrees.

As Luca and Violeta continue their playful game of piko, gunshots shatter the tranquility. Jorge and Thony rush outside to find a lifeless coyote, the guards' bullets having ended its life. Thony scrutinizes Jorge's standing rule to shoot coyotes, her disapproval evident.

Luca confides in Thony, revealing his dream of becoming a coyote, a wild and free spirit of the desert. Meanwhile, Jorge is engrossed in his breakfast when Thony approaches him, requesting a reduction in the security's arsenal. Jorge firmly declines, explaining that the cartel negotiations are delicate, and any unfavorable outcome could turn them against him. Thony reprimands him for keeping her in the dark, suggesting they could have stayed with Fiona if she had known. In a moment of slip, Jorge wonders aloud if she thinks he cares less about Violeta, mistakenly calling her Vanessa. Offering her a safe haven, he escorts her to Vanessa's room, suggesting she choose a formal gown for the reopening event. Thony hesitates, suggesting Vanessa might not approve, but Jorge insists she doesn't know and always prioritized family. Remembering his vow to leave the cartel for Vanessa, who passed before he could fulfill it, Jorge removes her ring from his necklace and, despite Thony's resistance, slips it onto her finger—a perfect fit, symbolizing an unspoken connection.

The Warden, James Healy Jr., visits Ramona in solitary confinement, where she warns the female guard against any further aggression. Smirking, he informs her that her attorney has filed for protective custody, but she will be returned to general population. Ramona taunts him, suggesting he send his wife a dozen white roses in Summerlin, hinting at ominous consequences if he doesn't comply. The Warden dismisses her threats, but Ramona vows to be his last challenge. As he orders the guard to leave, Ramona accuses him of orchestrating an assault on her by two guards who demanded $25 million. He denies it, claiming external forces compelled him. She counters with a promise: a lifetime of protection and white roses for his wife if he connects her with the perpetrators.

At the Sanchez estate, Jorge pauses mid-dressing upon seeing Thony in a striking red dress. She demands to take Violeta and Luca with her, and after a moment of hesitation, he reluctantly agrees. He contacts Feng to inquire about the money transfer, receiving assurance that it will be ready by day's end. Jorge warns Feng that his satisfaction hinges on the bribe's timely payment. Feng, in turn, offers Jialong (Shu Q) ginseng tea to soothe his cough, only to have Jialong liken its scent to a wet dog moments before they hear a disturbance outside. Jialong ventures out to investigate and is promptly attacked. Feng springs into action, pushing a boom but failing to hit the armed assailant, who tumbles over the boat's side. Feng retrieves the fallen gun and engages in a fierce gunfire exchange with another assailant. With bullets exhausted, Feng sneaks up behind the enemy and garrotes him with a rope, causing the man to struggle and eventually plummet to his death. Returning to check on Jialong, Feng finds him unresponsive, the scene steeped in chaos and tragedy.

At the Desert Colosseum, Jorge escorted Councilwoman Reyes to her assigned seat with utmost grace. Fiona, never one to miss an opportunity, teased Thony about Jorge dressing her in a manner reminiscent of his late wife, earning a sidelong glance from JD Harris, portrayed by Ryan Sands. Jorge and Thony's attention was momentarily diverted by the sight of Joel across the room, who greeted Mayor Solomon, played by Golden Goodwin, and introduced him to Thony. Curious, Solomon inquired about their meeting, prompting Thony to recount the tale, her mind flickering with brief flashbacks of their fateful encounter. Jorge chimed in, revealing that Thony had proposed to him, just as her pager buzzed with coordinates. He urged her to disregard it, but she was adamant, believing someone might be in grave danger. With a regretful kiss, he let her go, while Joel approached, seeking their attention. Thony dashed off, leaving Jorge to engage with Joel.

Fiona chuckled at the antics of a clown who inadvertently lost his pants in a comical mishap. Charles "Chaz," played by Joe Pistone, queried her amusement, boasting that his clowns generated substantial revenue. She retorted, asserting that her enterprises were equally lucrative. JD's interruption curtailed their brief exchange, and Chaz extended an invitation to his webinar before departing. Meanwhile, El Don, portrayed by Danny Pardo, informed Jorge that the funds transfer had failed, forewarning of dire consequences. Jorge, frustrated, called Feng, insisting on the immediate transfer. Feng recounted their attack and bemoaned the absence of a doctor. Jorge's demand was met with refusal; Feng wouldn't budge until his man was attended to by a physician.

At the designated location, Thony examined Jialong, finding no bones broken but an infected tattoo that caused him considerable pain. She advised hospitalization, but Feng insisted on on-site treatment. Jialong, reaching out, was grasped by Feng who questioned if she intended to report the situation. She dismissed it as nobody's concern, hinting that it complicated his operations. Feng lamented being perceived as an easy target, prompting her to accuse him of brutality towards his captives. He vowed to do whatever necessary to safeguard Jialong, to which she assured she wouldn't stoop to his level. Feng claimed to have once held the same moral high ground.

Back at the Desert Colosseum, Joel informed Jorge that mere theater wouldn't suffice to evade murder charges for him and Thony. Jorge, phoning Thony, stressed the urgency of Feng completing the transfer to secure the mining license. Just then, Jialong collapsed. Thony, urging Feng to rush him to a hospital, was met with resistance. Feng warned that deportation back to China meant certain death in a prison camp. She countered that the cartel would pursue them all if the transfer wasn't finalized. Feng clarified that Jialong was the hacker, not him.

Later, at the community hospital, Thony directed Jialong to triage, where Dr. DuPont, portrayed by Daniel Bonjour, reproached her for delaying treatment for potential head trauma, the tension in the air palpable.
