The episode kicks off with Thony De La Rosa (portrayed by Elodie Yung) securely restraining a slumbering Ramona Sanchez (Kate Del Castillo) to the bed. With a cup of coffee in hand and her attention elsewhere, she fails to notice Peter (Rick A. Ortega Jr.) stealthily approaching. He greets her with a cheerful good morning, startling her into laughter as she inquiries about his wife, Cynthia. He mentions that she has taken Betty, their horse, out for a refreshing ride. She swiftly slips some apples into a bag and invites him to join her. After securing the perimeter, Peter sets off, passing Manny on his way out. As he cruises down the road, disaster strikes when he is abruptly shot in the head. A masked assailant steps forward, confiscates his phone, and vanishing into the distance.
At the Sanchez estate, Jorge Sanchez (Santiago Cabrera) arrives for breakfast, prompting Violeta Sanchez (Olivia Frida Filomena) to inquire about Ramona. Thony cautions them to steer clear of Ramona, fearing she might be contagious with the flu. Jorge jokingly wonders if she intends to harm Ramona, to which she responds with a hint of sarcasm, asking if that's even an option, emphasizing her desire to prevent anyone from catching the illness. As Jorge prepares to escort the children to school, Thony informs him that Greta (Susan Louise O’Connor) will pick them up due to Violeta's ballet commitment. Luka expresses his displeasure at attending ballet, but Thony offers to pick him up and drop him off at Fiona’s (Martha Millan's) place, to his delight.
Thony administers medication to Ramona, who, realizing it's morning, becomes agitated and insists that Thony remove her restraints. Thony firmly tells her to leave town or face medical intervention to contain her. She warns that Ramona poses a danger to their family. Ramona admits to her innate viciousness and claims the necessity to make certain individuals see reason before it's too late. Refusing to be swayed by her old tactics, Thony exits the room.
Elsewhere, Ted Alonto (Chase Del Rosario) is overjoyed when Chris' (Sean Lew) dance video garners four million views. They ponder what to do with the sudden influx of money. Ted excitedly presents him with a psychedelic mushroom chocolate bar, to which Chris expresses reservations about getting high. Undeterred, Ted insists they are celebrating and can indulge as they please. Their revelry is cut short when they hear someone approaching, prompting them to seek refuge in a closet. Fiona and JD Harris (Ryan Sands) enter the house, with Fiona complaining about a foul odor. JD offers to inspect any room she chooses and promises she can keep all her precious belongings. She enthusiastically agrees. Chris listens intently as they discuss their plans to move. Once they leave, Chris and Ted emerge from their hiding spot.
As Jorge drives down the road, he receives a call from Hunter Heller (Rita Volk), requesting to speak with him about a proposal. They arrange a meeting at the Desert Coliseum. Back at the Sanchez estate, Ramona reveals her plan to Thony for securing her freedom from prison. Intrigued, Thony demands more details. Ramona offers her continued medical practice and an annulment in exchange. Suddenly, the electricity goes out. Thony hurries to investigate and is horrified to witness a masked man slashing Manny's throat. She rushes back to Ramona, freeing her from the restraints. With Ramona's persuasion, Thony unlocks her chains. Gunfire erupts, prompting Ramona to grab a gun and return fire, shooting the assailant. As they make their way to the safe room, Ramona dispatches several gunmen and seizes one of their weapons. Under heavy fire, they manage to reach the safe room unscathed. Once inside, Ramona slaps Thony, rendering her unconscious.
At the Desert Coliseum, Jorge is taken aback to see Samuel Heller (John Pyper-Ferguson) instead of Hunter. Samuel apologizes and praises Jorge's determination. He proposes a deal: a 50% stake in Jorge's lithium mine in exchange for a majority stake in one of his five-star casino resorts. Jorge notes that such a deal wouldn't even come close to the value of 50% of the materials from his mine but agrees to consider the proposal.
Thony awakens to the chilling sight of a gun pointed directly at her face. Meanwhile, Chris and Ted, lost in their euphoria, are abruptly interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps. They hastily conceal themselves as Jaz (played by Faith Bryant) and Olivia (portrayed by Ava Bianchi) enter the scene. Jaz has been awarded a Wilde Lit scholarship for her essay titled "Scraps." Chris and Ted, now visibly intoxicated, make a boisterous entrance, with Chris offering his congratulations to Jaz.
In the secure confines of the safe room, Ramona and Thony find themselves without a phone and plunged into darkness as the power fails. Ramona reveals that Jorge's lithium mine venture did not go down well with the Hellers, Vegas's most treacherous family. She asserts that they want her to take charge of Sin Cara and his mine. Thony lambasts her for betraying Jorge, while Ramona expresses regret for killing Nadia instead of her. Thony responds harshly, stating that she should have let the bullet end her life.
Jaz confides in Chris that her essay contains content that might offend him and Fiona. Chris, displaying a mature demeanor, asserts that if it is her truth, it should not harm their feelings. He encourages her not to emulate Fiona, who always prioritizes others at her own expense. Ted informs Jaz about the house being up for sale. As Fiona and JD arrive and park outside, the group scatters and seeks refuge. Fiona vows to be ready to move once she has bid farewell to the house, while JD claims to understand and departs. A sudden noise startles Fiona, prompting her to grab a fly swatter. Chris, Ted, Olivia, and Jaz then emerge from their hiding spots. Chris embraces Fiona tightly, while Jaz notes his intoxication. In his inebriated state, Chris reveals details about Jaz's essay. Fiona requests to speak with Chris in private. Ted pleads with her not to inform his mother about their mushroom escapade, but she insists he sit down.
Back in the safe room, Thony tells Ramona that this is her opportunity to eliminate her. Ramona boasts about molding Thony into her own image. Elsewhere, Jorge quizzes Samuel about the true intentions behind his proposal. Samuel denies having any ulterior motive beyond what is stated in the proposal, but Jorge politely declines the offer. Samuel shakes Jorge's hand and gives the order to detonate the site. At the Sanchez estate, the gunmen receive the command and set off an explosion. Thony and Ramona feel the concussive force of the blast within the safe room. Thony seizes the gun and trains it on Ramona, sparking a heated verbal altercation. Ramona warns that she will never leave, while Thony retaliates by stating that Ramona will soon dig her own grave.
In a different part of the narrative, Chris indulges in his meal while Fiona apologizes for the circumstances surrounding the house. Jaz admits to putting others before herself and elucidates the meaning behind "Scraps." Chris proposes that they discuss the possibility of Thony working for the cartel.
Fiona confides in Benny (Chau Long) her scheme to rent out the counterfeit IDs, intending to use the proceeds to purchase her dream home. Together, they echo the famous line, "Show me the money," with a hint of excitement. Interrupted by a call from Luca's school, she's summoned to pick him up.
Meanwhile, at the Sanchez mansion, Thony insists on venturing out of the safe room, fearing Jorge might return with the children. She arms herself with an axe while entrusting Ramona with a gun. As they navigate through the house, they stumble upon a safe, its door blown wide open. Ramona feigns ignorance about its existence, but Thony is convinced the assailants were after its contents. Elsewhere, Samuel receives a notification confirming the package's safety.
Reaching into her bag, Thony retrieves her phone, only for Ramona to suddenly draw her weapon and engage in a firefight with a masked intruder. In the chaos, Thony is struck. Ramona quickly fashions a makeshift dressing using teabags and wraps cellophane tightly around Thony's waist to stem the bleeding. Recognizing the hospital as too risky, Thony suggests an alternative location.
Worried, Fiona informs Chris and Jaz that Thony hasn't come to pick up Luca. Ramona aids the wounded Thony through the door, unaware that the house was supposed to be deserted. She alerts someone of the attack, disclosing their whereabouts. Fiona and Chris rush Thony to bed, where she apologizes to Luca for not picking him up, offering to make him soup as a gesture of affection. She professes her love and urges him to always be kind, reminding him that the world craves kindness. He agrees, resting his head on her chest, soothing her with his presence.
Chris expresses concern about managing everything without Jaz, to which she reassures him it's just college. Dr. DuPont (Daniel Bonjour) arrives, criticized by Thony for missing her shift. Fiona, pleading for his help, explains Thony's injury. At home, Thony apologizes again to Luca, and he offers comfort in return.
DuPont examines Thony's wound, gravely noting the bullet's proximity to her liver. Jorge bursts in, inquiring about Thony's condition. Ramona assures him she'll be fine, pulling him aside to confess her deal with the Hellers: taking over as Sin Cara's leader in exchange for their mine. Jorge reveals the mining deed was in the safe, and he turned down Samuel's proposal to work against his family. He warns that failing to retaliate will make Sin Cara look weak, and Ramona agrees to join him in battle against the Hellers.
DuPont, sharing a personal anecdote about his sister who married a dangerous man a decade ago, urges Thony not to get swallowed by Jorge's world. She gratefully holds his hand, finding solace in his words. Jorge thanks DuPont and offers assistance should he ever need it.
JD, upset, warns Fiona they need to distance themselves from Thony. She stands firm, vowing never to abandon her friend. He dreams of returning to their old life, promising eternal love. Jorge apologizes for failing to protect Thony, but she insists on staying with Fiona, suggesting they tell Assistant District Attorney Joel about a fictional cousin's death, adhering to a Filipino custom of nine days of prayer.
Later, Fiona and Thony discuss Ramona's potential involvement in Jorge's wife's demise, with Fiona urging Thony to let it go. Thony, however, is fully convinced of her theory.
