As the curtains rise on this installment of "The Four Seasons," Danny, portrayed by Colman Domingo, makes a deliberate move towards Anne, played by Kerri Kenney, who reveals she's embarked on a solitary retreat. Aware of Nick and Ginny's presence, Anne admits she was aware of their whereabouts and toyed with the idea of confronting them. Instead, she opts to seclude herself in her room until their departure, a decision Danny strives to dissuade her from. He later recounts this to Claude, essayed by Marco Calvani.

Meanwhile, Kate, brought to life by Tina Fey, enjoys a leisurely moment with Jack, embodied by Will Forte. Their conversation revolves around Nick's earlier remarks and whether they hinted at their unhappiness. Nick, played by Steve Carell, interjects, expressing hope that he hadn't offended them earlier, clarifying that his protective stance stemmed from his genuine fondness for Ginny. When alone, Kate expresses her desire for them to be kinder to Ginny, believing they can make greater efforts towards inclusion.

Kate approaches Ginny, portrayed by Erika Henningsen, suggesting a visit to the lodge's board game closet. Jack joins them, adorned with his signature bucket hat. Elsewhere, Annie attends a surfing lesson where the instructor, Ricky Robles Cruz, bestows upon her special attention due to her novice skills. They bond over her shirt, a testament to her love for strawberries, which the instructor finds as endearing as she is.

Kate struggles to select a board game, settling on "Number Color," the sole undamaged option. Danny and Claude return, but the game malfunctions, prompting Jack to seek Ginny's input on their next move, highlighting her youth and trendiness. Ginny mentions a DJ gig at the beach bar tonight, overheard from a conversation at the paddle shop. Danny declares their intention to join the festivities.

Anne wanders through a shop and later a restaurant, noticing her surfing instructor nearby and hesitating to engage. She phones Danny, seeking ethical guidance on sleeping with her instructor, Carlos. Danny, relieved she's ventured out of her room, abruptly ends the call. Anne approaches Carlos, unveiling a gift she's just purchased. He bids her a pleasant evening before departing.

Kate discovers Jack's wardrobe change, while at the bar, Ginny learns about Claude and Danny's open relationship, revealing her own past in an open setup. Danny and Nick step aside for drinks, with Nick expressing ignorance about Ginny's previous relationship, prompting Danny to enlighten him. They rejoin the group, sharing drinks amidst revelry. Nick watches Ginny dance with another man, ultimately intervening. Kate decides to head back, earning a boo from Jack, who laments the loss of their spontaneous fun and attempts to dazzle Ginny with a dance, only to be embarrassed by Kate's anecdote of his pants-soiling mishap. Claude's mood sours upon witnessing Danny's cocaine use, prompting Danny's denial, which nonetheless leads to everyone's departure.

Anne scrolls through Jack's photos, catching a glimpse of the party. She takes her strawberry figurine outside and, in a gesture of frustration, shatters it.

Anne heads back to the store, acquiring yet another batch of those figurines, accompanied by an oar. Retreating to the sanctuary of her room, she proceeds to dismantle the delicate toys with fervor. Meanwhile, Ginny extends an invitation to Jack for a refreshing jog, only to find him in no condition for such exertions. Their conversation is abruptly interrupted by the ominous rumble of thunder. Claude, awakening from his slumber, discovers Danny engrossed in his computer screen, and offers an apology for his harsh demeanor from the previous evening. Danny brushes it off, citing the necessity to attend to work emails. However, Jack's urgent interruption disrupts their reconciliation, warning of an impending hurricane and the urgent need to evacuate. Nick's anxiety spikes as he realizes Ginny is still outdoors, while the group grapples with the dilemma of their absent van.

Ginny returns to find the atmosphere charged with chaos. Claude, stepping in to restore order, proposes they seek refuge in Anne's hotel room. Danny quickly dismisses the idea, citing the impracticality of reaching it. Ginny, ever resourceful, suggests they utilize the pedal pub as their mode of transportation. As they clamber aboard, Nick discovers to his astonishment that Anne has had a sneak peek at their photographs. Amidst their communal pedaling, Jack's hat sails away in the wind, adding a touch of comedy to their pressing situation.

Eventually, they arrive at Anne's room, where she inquires about Nick's whereabouts. Danny reveals they've taken refuge in the business center to avoid her. Nick, attempting to lighten the mood, tells Ginny that despite the circumstances, this remains one of the most memorable trips of his life. Skeptical, Ginny challenges his assertion. Seizing the moment, Nick proposes that she become his girlfriend, acknowledging the absurdity of his timing. Ginny, charmed by his lack of pretension, gleefully accepts. Elsewhere, Kate and Jack attempt to dry themselves, with Jack griping about the story Kate recounted the previous night, while defending his own storytelling prowess. He apologizes for his earlier behavior, specifically hurling a cup at her, and suggests they moderate their drinking habits.

Anne deceives Danny about her fitness instructor, only for Danny to reveal he's accepted a job designing a hotel in Austin, which he accepted that very morning, entailing an absence of several months. Claude, unaware of this development, joins them as they watch the weather updates on television, the impending storm casting a somber pall over their temporary sanctuary.
