The Gardener – Season 1 Episode 6 1

Instead of reproaching him, China urges Elmer to abandon Violeta and accompany her to Mexico. She is convinced that Violeta's affection for Elmer will wither once the truth is unveiled. Meanwhile, Violeta, lost in contemplation, listens to Catuxa's voicemail and stumbles upon Sabella's earrings tucked away in Elmer's clothing. The pieces of the puzzle quickly fit together in her mind. Without delay, she begins packing, her heart racing.

In her haste, Violeta fails to notice Orson shadowing her steps. She halts at a secluded stretch of the beach, where she leaves a poignant voicemail for Elmer. Her voice trembles as she confesses her discovery and her intention to leave. She generously grants him time to flee the country before she approaches the authorities. Tragically, her journey to seek justice is cut short when Orson ambushes her, whisking her away to a hidden locale.

Do the police uncover incriminating evidence against the Jurodas? Torres and Carrea relentlessly pursue leads, their quest impeded by the challenge of obtaining a search warrant. They seek the expertise of a professor specializing in body decomposition, who agrees to compile a report upon examining the covertly acquired photos Carrera sneaked from the garden.

Armed with the warrant, Torres and Carrea lead their team to China's garden, anticipation electric in the air. However, their hopes are dashed; the garden yields no clues. China, ever one step ahead, had instructed Orson to relocate the bodies the previous night. Her astute observation of Carrera's suspicious activity prompted swift, decisive action, ensuring her guilt remained concealed for another day.

In a stunning reversal of fate, Violeta manages to overpower Orson and ends his life. She swiftly seizes his phone and dials Elmer's number, while Elmer, already listening to her voicemail in a panic, receives her urgent call. Violeta, her voice laced with desperation, informs Elmer that she is in grave danger. Without hesitation, Elmer abandons everything to rush to her side, leaving China astounded as she had envisioned them fleeing together to Mexico. Attempting to get an update from Orson, China dials his number, but it's Violeta who answers.

Elmer arrives just in time and confessionally spills his guts to Violeta. Together, they devise a plan to make Orson's death resemble a tragic accident. They plant Sabella's jewels on his person, cleverly framing him for her murder.

Meanwhile, Violeta's friends are beside themselves with worry when she goes missing. They resolve to report her disappearance to the police station. The officers advise them to wait for Carrera and Torres, but before they can speak with the detectives, Violeta calls to assure them of her safety. She also persuades Catuxa that Elmer is incapable of harming anyone, let alone murdering Sabella—a statement filled with ironic undertones.

After disposing of Orson's body, Violeta and Elmer bid each other farewell and part ways.

The Gardener concludes with Carrera and Torres dropping the investigation due to a lack of evidence and harsh reprimands from their superior. Elmer returns home to confront his mother about hiring someone to kill Violeta. Their argument escalates over China's alleged love for money over her son, culminating in Elmer threatening her and demanding she burn the illicit funds.

China refuses, and as Elmer turns to leave, she knocks him over and rushes him to the hospital, falsely claiming he fell and hit his head. With China's consent, the doctors proceed with surgery.

Elsewhere, Violeta decides to leave town and bids her friends a fond farewell. Following the surgery, Elmer reverts to his emotionally detached state, but he never forgives his mother for forcing him to undergo the procedure. The show wraps up with a surprise appearance by Violeta, who asks Elmer to work for her once more.
