The Mora astral sisters, Luisa, Nora, and Marta, arrive as help. They promptly inform Jaime that he will pass his medical exam and mention that Blanca is pregnant. The news hits her hard, and she tries to send word to Pedro.

Back in Las Tres Marías, Esteban Garcia sells out Pedro's hideout, hoping his grandfather will give him the award money. Instead, he goes there himself and attacks Pedro. A fight ensues; in the end, Esteban grabs an axe and hits Pedro with it. Garcia watches the whole thing unfold and is quietly angry when Esteban refuses to pay him for snitching.

Back in the city, Clara gets new fake teeth and decides to renovate the house to create a dome to let more light in and add more rooms. She plans to bring more clairvoyants and give them a safe space to practice magic together. Blanca and Jaime are glad to help as new clairvoyants move into their house.

Unbeknownst to Blanca, her dad has been intercepting her letters to Pedro, which is why she hasn't heard back from him. Upon learning that Blanca is pregnant, Esteban returns to the city.

Meanwhile, Clara, the Mora sisters, and other clairvoyants start helping people with their powers. Esteban arrives at the house during renovation, seeing strangers moving about and Clara refusing to speak to him. Instead, she makes Luisa her mouthpiece. When Esteban gets angry, Clara removes her fake teeth and shows him the cost of his anger.

Clara and Jaime are quick to protect Blanca from Esteban. Clara insists that Blanca is the only one who can decide her future. Esteban lies that he killed Pedro and orders Blanca to marry Count Jean de Satigny.

Upon hearing the devastating news that her lover had been killed by her father, Blanca made the decision to marry Jean, seeking refuge in a new life far away from the pain and sorrow. Her wedding to Jean was a success, as her father, Esteban, had hoped, effectively shielding the family from the scandal of an illegitimate child. Throughout the ceremony, Blanca's tears were met with assumption that they were tears of joy.

After the wedding, they settled into Jean's house in the middle of the desert. Blanca made a pact with Jean, promising never to enter his studio as long as he refrained from touching her or entering her room. She was initially shocked by the art displayed in his house but decided to let it be.

For the next few months, Blanca and Clara exchanged letters, unaware that Jean was intercepting them. Clara tried to communicate with her daughter using telepathy but failed. Meanwhile, she continued to push Esteban away, refusing to speak to him. Esteban decided to hire an administrator to manage the hacienda while he ran for a senate seat. Although Clara was worried about Esteban's political ambitions, she said nothing to him.

In the desert, Blanca struggled with loneliness and was also uncomfortable with Jean's constant photography of her without her consent. She began to play with the wallpaper as a distraction from her boredom. One night, when Jean invited friends over for dinner at Esteban's expense, Blanca heard the news that her father had just become a senator. She lashed out at him, calling him a murderer and accusing him of buying his Senate seat. She grew more agitated and tore her ill-fitting dress to feel less confined. She stormed out into the desert and screamed at the birds in frustration before falling asleep.

The next morning, she awoke to a vision of her daughter calling her from the sunrise. The girl directed her towards hope, and Blanca realized what she must do. She returned home and overheard noises coming from Jean's studio. Investigating further, she found Jean in compromising positions with male staff, who were also his lovers. She took some compromising pictures from his studio and warned him never to pursue her again. She then boarded the next train and headed home, despite being in labor pains.

When she arrived home, Esteban opened the door for her, but she didn't acknowledge him. As soon as she entered the house, her water broke, and she screamed for help. Clara and the other women warmly embraced her as they led her to the bedroom.
