The second episode of "The Judge from Hell" kicks off with a jarring interruption, as Daon's arrival in a menacing truck halts Bitna's momentum. He doesn't mow down anyone, but his confrontation with Jeongjun, ordering him to steer clear of Minjeong, sets the stage for chaos. Bitna steps in, averting a violent clash, fortuitously as the police arrive shortly thereafter, hauling Jeongjun away for stalking Minjeong.

Daon's fury boils over, and he finds himself at Minjeong's place, where the front door is sealed with police tape, the interior a shambles—a stark testament to Judge Kang's unjust rulings. Yet, she remains indifferent, spewing her cynical views on the futile cycle of life and death, brushing aside the notion that a year's imprisonment would've mattered.

The Judge From Hell – K-drama Episode 2 1

Enraged, Daon vows to secure an arrest warrant, determined to find justice amidst the corruption. Miraculously, Minjeong still lives, thanks to Daon's timely intervention that saved her from self-destruction. As detectives interrogate Jeongjun, his facade of a devoted boyfriend crumbles, leaving Daon tasked with keeping a watchful eye on the deranged individual.

Bitna, ever the cynic, believes they're edging closer to closure, equating Minjeong's mental demise with a physical one, blithely dismissing ethical boundaries. Her eagerness to secure a conviction drives her to manipulate the case further, only to be met with the rejection of Jeongjun's arrest warrant, prompting a maniacal laugh from her desk.

Daon's visit to Minjeong reveals a shattered soul, her parents at a loss. Mistaking Daon for Jeongjun, her father's anger explodes at the door, but soon dissipates into shock as news breaks of Jeongjun's demise.

A flashback reveals the events leading up to Jeongjun's fateful end. Minjeong lures him to a secluded, abandoned house, intending to confront him one-on-one. But it's not Minjeong who appears; it's Kang Bitna, masquerading as her using her assistant's voice. As Jeongjun enters her twisted realm, Bitna unleashes a brutal retribution, mirroring the abuse he inflicted on Minjeong. The torture is relentless, culminating in a hammer shattering his leg. Desperate, Jeongjun attempts suicide, shattering the illusion, only to be confronted with Bitna's chilling revelation: she's a demon from hell, here to pass judgment on him.

As Jeongjun attempts to choke her into submission, he makes a grievous misstep, as she effortlessly dismantles him, leaving him sprawled on the ground, a grotesque spectacle of bloodied defeat. In the end, he confesses his crimes, professing remorse so profound that he wishes for death itself. And with that, Bitna swiftly dispatches him to the depths of Hell, her knife piercing him with finality.

Daon rejoins the detectives in the present, their steps echoing as they approach the crime scene, now eerily devoid of its macabre traces. It's as if no violence had ever transpired here—a testament to the meticulous work of Hell's cleanup crew, renowned for their ability to erase all signs of wrongdoing. They transform the scene into a pristine facade, utilizing a specialized vacuum that devours every last drop of blood, leaving nothing but perfection behind. Justitia's name in Hell is synonymous with impeccable thoroughness.

The detectives diligently reconstruct Jeongjun's final movements, tracing his path to his untimely end. Their investigation hinges on identifying those he encountered before his demise, the telltale mark on his forehead—"gehenna," a stark reminder of the realm he now inhabits—igniting alarm bells within Daon, who knows someone who harbors delusions of demonic origins.

Meanwhile, Bitna is engrossed in her casework, oblivious to the storm brewing until summoned by the Chief Judge. His fury is palpable as he berates her for her lenient sentence, a mere fine for Jeongjun's crimes. He implores her to alter her ways, lambasting her lavish attire and conduct, deeming them unbefitting of a proper judge. But Bitna, unfazed, retorts with defiance, her voice echoing through the chamber.

The leniency shown towards Kang Bitna stems partially from her profound human connections to this world, a testament to her once-engaged status with the son of Assemblyman Jeong. Though the engagement was severed, the family's affection for her persists, even in the aftermath of her memory loss. As a result, Seonho, the chief, has been entrusted with the duty of safeguarding her.

At the Nobong police station, Minjeong arrives, intent on visiting Daon. Her recovery is remarkable, and her eagerness to resume work is palpable. However, she also shares a poignant encounter with Bitna, who visited her in church afterward, urging her to confess her sins candidly and reassuring her that feelings of guilt over desiring Jeongjun's demise were natural.

That very night, Bitna reappears in Daon's life, her intentions clear: to pry information from him regarding various cases. Her approach is unapologetically direct, even suggesting they embark on a dating endeavor. Daon, displeased yet somewhat intrigued, acquiesces, agreeing to indulge her with a meal of grilled pork.

Puzzled by her unorthodox methods, Daon nonetheless indulges, only to realize Bitna's true intention once he's sated. Under the guise of camaraderie, she cunningly gets him intoxicated, hoping to extract his secrets. In a drunken confession, Daon reveals a dark past, claiming to have ended the lives of three individuals with a knife. He chillingly mentions sitting beside one of their families, before succumbing to slumber.

As Daon awakens, he finds Bitna standing over him, a knife clutched in her hand. She makes a solemn promise to keep his secret safe, but with a cold determination, she plunges the blade into him, convinced that his deeds warrant a journey to the depths of Hell.
