The fourth episode of The Last Frontier dives into the wilderness once again, where we find Kitty trapped in a bear trap, her comrade Vivian racing off to find help at gunpoint, forcing a female individual (later revealed to be a cop) to extract Kitty's leg from the trap. When the cop tries to assert her bravery and wields a gun, the outcome is less than favorable. The two inmates swiftly dispense with the cop's life, making a beeline for her abode to fortify their supplies for the long journey ahead.
Meanwhile, Frank and Sidney are finally on speaking terms, working together as a unit. However, the Cyber team is hot on their trail, investigating the XenoGate account breach. For now, they've scoured six miles without a lead, but Frank and Sidney remain convinced that Havlock is still at large.

And sure enough, Havlock is alive and well, back in the hunt, stockpiling and preparing for the next phase of his master plan.
This episode largely focuses on Kitty and Vivian's exploits. Kitty is a black widow killer, having dispatched three husbands, a fiancé, and a widower in Maine. Despite the authorities never finding the 4.2 million in assets she's stashed away, it's safe to assume she has enough money to get by.
Vivian, on the other hand, is a master grifter and con-woman, the brains behind their operation. Together, they form a formidable duo with a desperate need to escape the fray. With Kitty's financial backing, they turn their sights on Aero Excursions, offering flightseeing tours. Frank and Sidney catch wind of this and now have a solid lead to follow up on.
At Aero Excursions, they manage to hack into the computer system (thanks to a sticky note with the password prominently displayed) and trace various pilots. Their first target is Slade, a bush pilot with not much money in his bank account. But that's not an issue for Kitty with her stash of cash; she wires him the funds to refuel and stock up on supplies. The chip for her card is discreetly hidden inside her glasses.
Sarah navigates through her own therapeutic maze, plagued by frustration. Her mind races with the thought of checking on Luke, prompting her counselor, Todd Logan, to extend a helping hand—a ride up to his location. However, Luke is currently out and about, accompanied by a paranoid inmate in a car. They attempt to elude the inmate by orchestrating an accident, crashing the car and sending the man flying through the windscreen.
Meanwhile, Langley has unearthed the purpose behind the XenoGate message. It seems that Havlock has sent a message to one of his informants in St. Petersburg—Armen Zhdanko. This individual specializes in malware and security protocols, making it logical that he was paid to help steal Archive 6.
In the midst of this chaos, Vivian is captured after Kitty abandons her and makes a run for it with Slade. Sidney and Frank arrive on the scene and engage in a conversation with Vivian, striking a deal to find out Kitty's location. It transpires that she's headed for a dirt road north of town called Famer's Loop, where the plane is waiting and Kitty is ready to take off just as the cops arrive. As Kitty stumbles off into the woods in a desperate attempt to escape, she's in a perilous state and has lost a significant amount of blood. When she collapses, Kitty pleads with them to let her die in the wilderness. Frank, though a moral man, wants to bring her in alive despite her status as a cop killer.
After discussing Havlock's manipulative ways with Sidney, including how he employs tricks to keep things unpredictable, Frank realizes what's happening and approaches Vivian just as she's about to be released. They've pulled her call logs and realize she's called in the tip for her own arrest. Viv has been using Kitty as a cover since they touched down, always about Kitty's money. When an opportune moment arose, she took the SIM card for herself. Frank and Sidney are happy to let her go given the deal they've made but in exchange want information on Havlock. Apparently he mentioned going to Fairbanks and dealing with some "unfinished business with an old friend." This person happens to be Havlock's courier, who arrived in Fairbanks 24 hours before the crash and has been lying in wait—his name is Vincent Thiago.
Meanwhile, Sarah arrives at the cabin to find Luke gone. But he's not gone for long; he's survived the car crash and is on the road, encouraging Kira to make a run for it while he tries to handle the killer and lead him off in the opposite direction.
