Seeking guidance, Pike sets out to find Kaylie with Allura's assistance, sharing her concerns that Scanlan has been in a state of disarray without Kaylie's presence and might need her to find the will to keep living.

Meanwhile, Vex and Vax arrive in Stilben, their eyes catching sight of a Tabaxi wielding a pepperbox. This mysterious figure guides them to a dock where a ship, cloaked in secrecy and docking only under the cover of night, has been distributing deadly weapons. The twins wait patiently for the ship's next appearance, but Vex's impatience soon gets the better of her. She strikes out alone, boarding the next incoming vessel, but is swiftly captured.
In a rush of adrenaline, Vax arrives to confront the captors and rescue his sister from perilous waters. Amidst the fray, they lose sight of the ship as other adversaries descend upon them. Vex is faced with a dire choice: to save Vax or to pursue the escaping vessel. Her heart breaks as she prioritizes her brother's safety.
