Episode 3 of "The Nice Guy" kicks off with Seok-cheol exiting the office, his words still ringing in the air—a solemn pronouncement that the burden of his father's debts would inevitably weigh upon his shoulders, thus deterring his father from approaching the chairman of the gangster syndicate for financial aid.
The following day, a revelation strikes Seok-cheol: his father, contrary to his expectations, hadn't sought that loan. Determined, Seok-cheol decides to take matters into his own hands. Realizing his contributions had sealed a lucrative contract for the company, he boldly requests 100 million won from the syndicate.
Meanwhile, the gambling boss storms into Seok-hee's hospital room, attempting to track down her sister, Seok-kyung, by leveraging her sister's friend. However, Seok-hee, in a fiery display, headbutts everyone in her path, bringing an abrupt end to the commotion. Later, she sets the record straight with her boyfriend, Seok-cheol's childhood friend, who had failed to stand up for their relationship in front of a patient.
Elsewhere, Seok-kyung, driven by an insatiable desire to see her son after an extended absence, sneaks out. Comic relief ensues as her son, recognizing her instantly, chases after her while she tries to evade capture. Blind to the truth, her mother hotly pursues them both. When her mother lags behind, Seok-kyung finally meets her son, pledging to see him again and urging him to keep their encounter a secret from his grandmother before bidding farewell.
Unexpectedly, the gangster chairman grants Seok-cheol's request for the money. His reasoning? He doesn't want Seok-cheol to abandon his path, like Tae-hoon did, solely due to financial constraints. This leads us into Tae-hoon's memory, shedding light on his tumultuous past with the gang boss, Chang-soo. It transpires that Chang-soo had callously refused to lend Tae-hoon 70 million won for his sister's surgery, ultimately leading to her untimely death. In his darkest hour, only Seok-cheol stood by his side. Hence, though Tae-hoon harbors a deep-seated vendetta against Chang-soo, he doesn't want Seok-cheol to suffer the same fate as he did.
In the meantime, Mi-young steps into the posh bar, Nibana, brimming with hope for her audition. Despite shining brighter than the rest, she is cruelly disqualified by the manager who has been swayed by bribes from rival candidates. Disheartened yet resolute, she confides in Seok-cheol, who swiftly steps in to rectify the injustice. Leveraging his close rapport with Tae-hoon's cousin, who owns the bar, Seok-cheol ensures that justice prevails, and Mi-young ultimately earns her rightful place.
Overjoyed, she extends an invitation to Seok-cheol for her maiden performance. He gladly accepts and attends, only to be abruptly pulled away halfway through by the startling news that the police, thanks to Tae-hoon's interventions, have raided their office and apprehended the gang leader. Seok-cheol reluctantly departs, leaving Mi-young's enchanting performance incomplete in his presence. However, Tae-hoon remains, utterly captivated by her talent, as The Nice Guy's Episode 3 draws to a close, leaving a lingering note of anticipation.
