The opening scene of Night Agent Season 1 Episode 6 plunges us into a flashback, two years ago, where Ellen and Dale, a formidable assassin duo, execute the Yugoslavian Crown Prince, denounced by his own country. With precision and efficiency, they dispose of the body in a lake, yet Ellen yearns for a more bloody conclusion. Dale, however, reminds her that such a mess would take time to clean up. Eager to learn more, Ellen begs Dale to mentor her further. As Dale prepares to discard the prince's ring, Ellen insists on keeping it, symbolizing their bond as executioners.

Returning to the present, Ellen and Dale tail Peter and Rose, their mission being to ensure the pair reaches the White House safely. Ellen dreams of a thrilling high-speed chase, but Dale reassures her that their tracker on Peter's car guarantees they won't lose sight of their targets.

Meanwhile, Peter and Rose embark on their journey to the White House, Rose advising Peter on how to approach his report to Farr and the President. Peter insists Rose remain behind while he enters to deliver his message, hoping the President will heed his words and enhance Rose's security. A sudden awareness of being followed prompts the assassins to retreat briefly.

Peter escorts Rose to Cisco, who is initially displeased by their disruption of his plans. Yet, Cisco reluctantly agrees to stay with Rose and cancels his date. Peter and Rose finalize a meeting spot, Rose admonishing Peter to be cautious. Over dinner, Cisco and Rose discuss Peter, learning that he has endured much hardship and that Zoe abandoned him when he needed help the most. Surprised by Peter's openness with Rose, Cisco realizes that beneath his guarded exterior lies a vulnerable soul.

Outside Cisco's abode, Dale and Ellen lingered, their faces etched with concern. Dale murmured to Ellen, perhaps conceding that she had a point about the possibility of a child. Yet, Ellen confessed her mistake, acknowledging that Dale's earlier argument held truth; they were not equipped to raise a child.

Meanwhile, Erik and Arrington delved into the Professor's abode, as the Vice President was briefed on Maddie's abduction. Initially indifferent, he soon grasped the gravity of the situation. Inside the professor's home, Arrington chastised herself for missing crucial signs, but Erik reminded her that Maddie's antics had clouded her judgment. Arrington retorted, emphasizing that finding Maddie was paramount, not blame. They stumbled upon portraits of Maddie and the mysterious rattlesnake tattooed man. Arrington's eyes widened as she recognized a pattern in the paintings, having seen it before in Maddie's room.

Ben arrived at the crime scene, instructing Erik to take charge, but Erik insisted Arrington stay to assist in the investigation. Ben was displeased with Arrington's failure to safeguard Maddie, blaming her emotional involvement. Hurt by Erik's report to Ben, Arrington's troubles were just beginning. Erik reminded her that they were partners, and Arrington apologized for her initial distrust.

She recalled a pivotal clue and sifted through Maddie's belongings. They uncovered a leaflet belonging to the environmental group founded by the professor. Further, they stumbled upon a picture of the tattooed man on the group's social media page.

At the White House, Peter conferred with Farr, informing her that he had left Rose with a friend, along with the crucial drive. Farr revealed that she had instructed her secretary to investigate Turn Lake Industries. Peter elaborated on their theory, suggesting that Turn Lake was behind the Metro bombing and had framed Zadar. He recounted his visit to Hawkins' widow and the details she had imparted. Farr was stunned by the revelation that someone had attempted an assassination disguised as a terror attack.

Farr questioned Arrington's credibility, wondering if she had lied about not caring for Maddie a year ago. Peter postulated that the Vice President might be collaborating with Gordon Wick to orchestrate another attack within days. Farr declared her intention to update the President and requested Peter to have Rose escorted in by his trooper friend. This revelation left Peter momentarily stunned, as he had never mentioned to Farr that his friend was a trooper.

He suddenly realizes that Farr is deeply involved in this mess. Both of them strive to maintain their composure, but once Farr exits her office, Peter hastily dials Rose and urgently instructs her to gather Cisco and flee. Farr, meanwhile, calls Wick and informs him that Peter and Rose are onto them. She proposes that Peter should be arrested immediately, while Wick should deal with Rose. Cisco and Rose manage to slip away before Dale and Ellen receive the green light to execute them.

A thrilling car chase erupts, with Cisco dropping Rose off at a secluded street corner and urging her to meet Peter at their designated rendezvous point. Dale spots Rose and trails her, while Ellen stays put with Cisco. She skillfully rams into his car and shoots him down, leaving him lifeless before he could complete his call for backup.

Back at the White House, Peter frantically searches for an escape route. Luckily, he discovers a hidden tunnel within the White House that leads him outside the perimeter, straight into the streets. He rushes to their meeting spot and finds Dale poised to kill Rose. A fierce struggle ensues, and Peter emerges victorious. Rose argues that they should eliminate Dale, but Peter insists on his arrest.

Dale continues to taunt them, reminding them of Rose's aunt pleading for her life and how he had also murdered Lorna. He attempts to lunge at Peter once again, but this time, he is fatally struck and left to float lifelessly at the pier.

At the White House, Farr and the Vice President convene to devise a strategy to outmaneuver Peter, using Maddie's kidnapping as their trump card. Initially, the Vice President assumes a concerned and grieving fatherly role. However, Farr insists that Maddie is the perfect distraction as Peter and Rose possess enough knowledge to jeopardize their careers. In the end, Farr reveals to the Vice President that he was the one who ignited this entire chaos, and they only dragged her into it when the situation spiraled out of control. She urges the Vice President to prepare for a press briefing.

The following morning, Ellen discovers Dale's lifeless body floating at the pier and pays her final respects. His death leaves a profound impact on her. Meanwhile, Peter and Rose hide aboard a boat belonging to Peter's godfather. Farr's betrayal has left Peter shattered, and he bears several injuries after his confrontation with Dale. Nonetheless, he is grateful to have Rose by his side.

Concurrently, Erik and Arrington uncover a crucial lead regarding the professor's boyfriend who abducted Maddie. They update Ben, but he reveals that he has another suspect in mind and directs them to investigate Peter.

At the White House, Farr attempts to coach the Vice President, cautioning him that he must sell their story and discredit Peter, or else they will both end up in prison. Peter learns about Cisco's death and the Vice President's press briefing accusing him of being the prime suspect in Maddie's kidnapping through the news.
