The Resurrected – Season 1 Episode 9 1

In a desperate bid to save Hsin-yi, Jin Jin, with trembling hands, slashes her own arm with a knife, pleading with Shih-kai to cease his cruelty. Simultaneously, Shih-kai summons An-chi to his chamber, where he proceeds to sexually assault her. An-chi, tears streaming down her face, implores him to release Hsin-yi and allow her to return home, but her cries fall on deaf ears.

The following day, Shih-kai, exploiting An-chi and Jin Jin's status as influencers, escorts them to deposit substantial sums of cash into their bank accounts. Seizing this fleeting moment of opportunity, Jin Jin scribbles a cryptic message on one of the banknotes, hoping to alert the unsuspecting teller to their plight.

That very night, Jin Jin, driven by a mix of fear and compassion, sneaks away to visit Hsin-yi, offering her a much-needed sip of water. Suddenly, the compound is invaded by military soldiers, who swiftly apprehend Shih-kai and his accomplices, liberating the trapped girls from their nightmarish ordeal.

Tragically, Hsin-yi succumbs to her injuries in Jin Jin's embrace. In a panic, Jin Jin attempts to seek assistance, but An-chi, consumed by fear and desperation, restrains her. In a horrifying turn of events, Shih-kai, lurking in the shadows, witnesses An-chi violently shove Jin Jin off the building.

As for An-chi, her fate takes a twist when Ching arrives to take her home. Just then, Pong contacts Ching, revealing the discovery of the wallet and the shocking news that Eason is not dead but recuperating in the hospital.

In a moment of candidness, An-chi confesses to Ching that it was Jin Jin who had bravely saved them from Shih-kai's clutches. She uncovers the truth that I-chen had orchestrated a scheme to make An-chi take all the credit. Realizing the gravity of the situation, Ching promptly calls Mr. Hsu and extends an invitation to the reporter to attend the upcoming charity function, hoping to set the record straight.

Shih-kai makes a somber appearance at the hospital, arriving to meet Hui-chun after his failed attempt on Ching's life. With a tense air hanging between them, Hui-chun seizes the moment and implores Shih-kai to seize the opportunity of that evening's charity gala to publicly unveil the heinous abuse inflicted upon him by his adoptive mother, the formidable Mrs. Chung.

Meanwhile, Pong, operating in the shadows, orchestrates a sinister plot by substituting the gala's water supply with a liquid laced with drugs. As the evening unfolds, unsuspecting guests, among them Chih-chieh, partake in the tainted beverages, their fates now irrevocably intertwined with the unfolding drama.

Amidst the glittering façade of the charity event, Shih-kai arrives, his eyes scanning the crowd in a desperate search for his mother. The atmosphere crackles with anticipation and underlying tension, as if the very air is pregnant with secrets waiting to be exposed.

In a clandestine rendezvous, Ching confronts Chih-chieh, laying bare a dossier of incriminating evidence that lays bare the Tai Chi Association's dark underbelly and the illegal enterprises Mrs. Chung had been enmeshed in. With a steely resolve, she coerces him into taking a stand, demanding that he bare the truth about Mrs. Chung's nefarious deeds to the assembled guests, thereby pulling back the curtain on a web of deceit and corruption.

Hui-chun stumbles upon a chaotic scene: Pong is locked in a fierce brawl with a group of thugs who are hot on his heels. Amidst the fray, Pong shouts to the men that he's on a quest to find the crypto wallet and promises to hand it over to them soon. Alarm bells ring in Hui-chun's mind, and suspicion towards Pong starts to bloom. In a desperate move to silence her, Pong binds Hui-chun, preventing her from spilling his secrets.

Meanwhile, Mrs. Chung and the Master are engaged in a tense standoff with Chih-chieh, determined to keep their schemes under wraps. They manage to erase the incriminating video from Ching’s phone. Mrs. Chung, ever the mastermind, has Ching confined in a cage while she retrieves the crypto wallet from her safe.

Mrs. Chung then instructs the Master to coax the guests into investing in their dubious business venture. But their plans are abruptly interrupted when Shih-kai bursts onto the scene, taking the Master's life in a flash of violence. Shih-kai then sets his sights on Mrs. Chung, chasing her down and unmasking her for all the atrocities she's committed against him. In a final act of vengeance, he ends Mrs. Chung's life and turns his wrath upon Ching, only to be thwarted by Pong's sudden arrival and the theft of the crypto wallet.

A high-stakes chase ensues as Shih-kai pursues Pong, while Ching manages to break free from her restraints. In a daring move, Ching and Pong team up to attack Shih-kai and reclaim the wallet. However, their victory is short-lived as Ching takes a fatal tumble down the stairs, suffering severe injuries. Pong, too, meets a grim fate, plunging from the building and presumed dead. Ching, now battered and bruised, attempts to flee from Shih-kai, who miraculously wakes up from his ordeal.

Shih-kai continues his relentless pursuit of Ching, but Hui-chun, having escaped her bonds, intervenes just in time to save her. In a tense exchange, Hui-chun questions Ching about Jin Jin's death, to which Ching vehemently denies any involvement. In a cunning ploy, Hui-chun pretends to end Ching's life, hoping to coax the truth out of Shih-kai. And it works; Shih-kai confesses that it was another girl, not An-chi, who pushed Jin Jin off the building.

A flashback reveals Hui-chun and Ching's intricate plan to manipulate Shih-kai into killing his own mother, thereby dismantling the Tai Chi Association. True to their scheme, Shih-kai meets his demise on the seventh day of his resurrection, as foretold.

In a poignant moment, Ching and Shih-kai reconcile, with Ching revealing that Jin Jin is being airlifted to Taiwan in a medical jet. Just as the two women are about to make their escape with the crypto wallet, Pong reappears, flanked by a group of thugs, and snatches it away from them.

As Jin Jin is being whisked away to Taiwan in the ambulance, its urgent progress is abruptly halted by a band of ruthless goons who block the vehicle's path. The scene then shifts seamlessly into another poignant flashback, where Jin Jin is seen earnestly pleading with an investor, her voice laced with desperation and determination, to grant her the opportunity to seize control of the business that Shih-kai once managed. The tension lingers in the air as the show draws to a close, with a final, haunting image of Jin Jin being escorted to the very same goddess, around whose mystical aura she eventually stirs back to consciousness.
