Episode 4 of "The Snow Girl 2: The Soul Game" kicks off with Nacho immersing himself in Miren's harrowing account of sexual assault as penned in her book. In the present narrative, Miren swallows yet another pill after acing a test, her mind race. She inquires about Laura, but God's Raven remains stoic, refusing to divulge any information until she navigates her way through the game's intricate web.
Jaime makes an unannounced visit to Miren's abode, seeking clarity on her independent investigation into the Slide. Intrigued by her motives, she confides in him that the Slide violated her and recorded the assault. She implores Jaime to arrange a confrontation with Tomas.
Elsewhere, the police grill Cristobel, who claims he was merely attempting to rescue Allison and her unborn child, despite having no prior acquaintance with her and no recollection of why he stated otherwise. He reveals he was engaged in a protest at headquarters until the wee hours of Saturday morning, a detail that leaves Mercedes visibly disturbed.
Over at Diario Sur, Alberto makes a grand entrance accompanied by his legal counsel. He portrays Tomas as a paranoid individual whose revisitation of past traumas has led to an unhealthy alcohol dependency. His threats toward the newspaper are sugarcoated with charm, prompting Paco to abruptly halt Jaime and Miren's investigation. Miren observes that Alberto is an alumnus of Los Arcos and queries him about the Soul Game, to which he feigns ignorance with a smooth demeanor.
In a different locale, Belen pays Julio, Laura's investigator, a visit. He pleads with her not to disturb the waters of a closed case, assuring her that he exhausted all avenues during his investigation. She reassures him and transitions to the purpose of her visit: seeking his perspective on Cristobel, the prime suspect in Allison's case. Julio reveals that though Cristobel has a clean record, he holds a rigid belief that abortion equates to murder. He speculates that Cristobel might view it fit to punish a pregnant woman who undergoes an abortion, akin to Allison's plight. At school, Garrido sternly warns Nacho about Miren's selfish nature, describing her as someone who thrives on the misfortune of others. He urges the young boy to steer clear of her. Meanwhile, regarding Tomas, Jaime confirms that he is indeed undergoing rehabilitation. However, Miren has now set her sights on Alberto, sensing something peculiar about him.
Elsewhere, Belen and Chaparro pay a visit to Cristobel's headquarters. The in-house therapist claims to have been with him until 2 am. The skeptical cops aren't buying her story, and her rambling begins. They soon realize that she's having an affair with him, and nearby CCTV footage verifies their alibi. Additionally, they uncover a new lead in Allison's abortion case, thanks to newly retrieved data.
Moving on to the enigma surrounding Mendoza, Jaime arranges a meeting with Manuel, a former journalist and influencer who is privy to all the gossip. He's reluctant to cooperate until Miren agrees to an interview. Manuel then shares his knowledge about Alicia Martos, a student at Los Arcos who passed away in 1983. He reveals that he was banned from reporting on it. Emilia Pedraza, a teacher, had tried to persuade the police to investigate but to no avail.
Belen visits Juana and reveals the harrowing truth about Allison's DIY abortion using questionable pills. It transpires that Juana was aware of it all along but felt ashamed, labeling Allison as selfish. Belen's fury knows no bounds as she vents to Chaparro about how alone Allison was during this ordeal.
Concurrently, Miren and Jaime visit the Pedrazas, only to be dismissed by the daughter. As the time for the second test approaches, Miren abruptly dashes off before Jaime can extend an invitation for dinner or a ride home. He waits nearby, patiently, until he spots Emilia returning from the market.
Onto the second trial stands Miren, confronted with her deepest dread. Compelled by God's Raven, she ventures into the haunting depths of Green Soul, the very club where her innocence was shattered by a sinister roofie and a heinous sexual assault. The Raven commands her to consume a sacred loaf, and almost instantly, a wave of dizziness envelops her. Panicked, she dashes outside, only to catch a fleeting glimpse of the ominous figure in the red coat before succumbing to unconsciousness.
Within the confines of his home, Nacho's ears catch the anguished argument of his aunt and uncle, Mercedes's voice revealing her awareness of their illicit affair. He tunes their discord out, Escaping into the comfortable pages of 'The Snow Girl'
Elsewhere, Emilia is eager to impart her wisdom, having fled the oppressive claws of 1983 and its disagreeable ideology. Alberto, once a fellow pupil alongside Alicia, was painted by Emilia as a boy of virtue. Yet, his path was twisted by Garrido, his supposed best friend, whom she implicates as the architect of Alicia's untimely demise. Garrido orchestrated a cult-like group of the school's most pious students, ensnaring Alberto and Alicia within its ranks. To probe their faith's mettle, he devised the Soul Game, a series of Bible-based trials that claimed Alicia's life. Her affluent parents, unscrupulous in their protectiveness, silenced the truth.
Later, Garrido pays a visit to Juana, cloaked in her janitorial uniform. With a sanctimonious smile, he pronounces that God is trialing them all and hints at forgiveness for Allison, should she have repented. His false piety fades as he departs, leaving behind a sinister grin. The climactic scene of "The Snow Girl 2: The Soul Game, Episode 4" finds Juana, in the throes of her cleaning duties, discovering a grim relic—Allison's blood-stained Bible, hidden away in one of the rooms.
