There are the "prizes" dangled before them - cash and jewelry, it seems - and even married women are encouraged to show their faces.
While Lali is confined to his room, the women he lures in are subjected to unspeakable horrors. They are hurt and essentially raped, and Lali is helpless to intervene. Heather, sensing his inner torment, urges him to confront his past, to embrace the ugliness that lies beneath the surface of this supposed haven.
