Episode 2 of "The Terminal List: Dark Wolf" kicks off with Ben striving valiantly to prevent his comrades from shielding him from the consequences. Raife, ever the realist, reminds him that accountability will still fall upon his shoulders, albeit his life might be spared. Unsurprisingly, Fuller and Washington remain unconvinced by the narrative, insisting that Cox strips Ben of his cherished SEAL trident and demands a scapegoat among the officers.

The Terminal List: Dark Wolf – Season 1 Episode 2 1

A heated debate ensues between Raife and Reece, each vying to shoulder the blame. In the end, Raife’s voice is tinged with weariness; the fire of combat has burned out in him. Cox, visibly distressed, carries out the grim task of dishing out dishonorable discharges to both Raife and Ben. The ambiance is thick with bitterness as the platoon, including Reece, bids them a somber farewell.

Stranded in Frankfurt awaiting their connecting flight, Ben and Raife find themselves adrift in civilian life, which Ben observes with discomfort. Meanwhile, Raife attempts, albeit halfheartedly, to persuade his father that his desire to leave the service was genuine. Their travel plans hit a snag when their flight is canceled, prompting Ben to propose a makeshift staycation. Raife, though amused at the suggestion, remains exhausted by the turn of events.

At the hotel bar, fat intervention as they cross paths with Jed Haverford, a veteran-turned-CIA agent who harbors the truth about Jabouri’s demise. Haverford reveals that a testimony from one of Jabouri’s associates was buried by him, ensuring it never saw the light of day.

He elucidates that he requires two sharpshooters for a pressing assignment—to apprehend Danawi the following day. He elaborates further, asserting that civilian life will never suffice for them and that he can secure their honorable discharge. Ben readily concurs, yet Raife wavers, his trust in the CIA nonexistent. Haverford persuades him by tapping into his guilt over an unfinished task, and ultimately, Ben nudges him over the edge by vowing that this mission will guarantee the safety of Reece and their comrades. Raife relents but exacts a promise from Ben that he won't lose control again.

Their Vienna base serves as the rendezvous point with Tal, the mission's Mossad cyber specialist. She is sharply tongued and impatient with all around her. The briefing is swift, and Raife is wary of the mission's rapid preparation. Their destination: a club where Danawi is set to meet Artem, a financier from the Quds Force. They have the discretion to terminate Danawi if capturing him proves impossible.

The scene shifts to the club in Krems. Ben embraces the spontaneity, while Raife is restless. Unarmed and clueless about their weapons contact, Ben attempts to divert his attention by guessing who the contact might be. The revelation comes in the form of Artem's waiter, Eliza.

Upon Danawi's arrival, she signals them by presenting the firearms. Her plan is to drug Danawi with Rohypnol, seizing him once he rushes to the restroom. However, a snag arises when Danawi refuses all beverages. He insists on an immediate money transfer, which concludes before Eliza can administer the drugged water. Suspecting foul play, he forces her to drink it, and she narrowly avoids unconsciousness. Rushing to the restroom, she is assisted by Ben in sobering up. Unfortunately, they are spotted, prompting Raife to neutralize one of Danawi's bodyguards. Danawi flees, only to find his car sabotaged by Tal. A gunfire exchange ensues as Ben, Raife, and Eliza assault Danawi's entourage.

While Eliza and Tal clean up the aftermath, Ben and Raife chase after Danawi, who flees on foot. A surviving bodyguard attacks Ben, prompting them to split up. Raife pursues Danawi, initiating a game of hide-and-seek through the narrow alleys of Krems.

Raife finds himself in the confines of a square, reaching for his communication device as Ben and Haverford eagerly await an update from him. The rhythmic tapping of Danawi's footsteps on the cobblestones guides Raife's pursuit. Ben catches up, and together, they effortlessly trap Danawi in a tight corner. In a swift motion, Raife fires at Danawi but, unable to halt his actions, descends into a brutal beating until Danawi's life extinguishes. Ben breathes a sigh of relief, grateful that the ordeal is finally over.

Just when it seems like the end, Haverford breaks the tension by announcing that their actions were but a trial—they have successfully passed their audition. With a commanding tone, he instructs them to seize Danawi’s phone and make their way back.
