The Terminal List – Season 1 Episode 3

Published: Jun 28 2024

Episode 3 of The Terminal List kicks off with James Reece engulfing every shred of intelligence he had on Josh Holder in flames. His resolve was unwavering; he was determined to erase all traces of his past actions. He crossed out Josh's name from his metaphorical "hit list" and inscribed Saul Agnon's in its place. This Agnon, it turns out, was a significant figure in Capstone Industries, holding the position of Vice President of Asset Management.

With Holder's demise, Reece was unfettered and prepared for the next step. He gathered his belongings, including an arsenal of weaponry, and set out on a path leading straight to Agnon.

Meanwhile, Katie relayed her findings to Jordan. Apparently, doctors had recommended further testing, but Reece had discharged himself before the procedures could be completed. This seemed to violate military protocol, possibly a setup to label him as unstable. However, Katie uncovered that Reece had a brain tumor, a condition directly linked to paranoia and confusion, providing a plausible explanation for his erratic behavior.

As for James, he met Katie at a restaurant and disclosed the information about Saul Agnon. She presented him with the medical results, but Reece detected someone acting suspiciously and abruptly exited the premises. The man, sent to eliminate Reece, was caught off guard, allowing James to gain the upper hand. Amidst the chaos, James found files pertaining to himself and showed them to Katie. "Do you believe me now?" he asked.

Realizing that his position had been jeopardized, James Reece made the decision to vanish, escaping the radar. He apologized for dragging Katie into this mess, but she vowed to help nonetheless. Specifically, she intended to delve into Capstone and uncover any connections it might have to the ongoing mystery.

Saul Agnon, rattled by the recent developments, hastened to meet with his superior, Steve Horn. Horn dismissed his concerns with a shrug and instructed Agnon to proceed to Santa Barbara, as planned, to finalize a significant deal. Little did Agnon know, however, that Ben Edwards was already on his trail, having tracked James to a secluded motel. This move was a result of Ben catching up with James during his brief respite.

That fateful night, at Saul Agnon's abode, an unexpected attack from behind sent Saul crashing to the ground, Reece's shadowy figure looming over him. When Saul's senses finally returned, he found himself face-to-face with the stern military man, James. Urgent for answers, James' interrogation unearthed the name of Steve Horn, a tech tycoon-turned-VP who Saul revealed was the true puppet master.

Steve Horn, it seemed, had his tentacles reaching far and wide, even orchestrating the ambush in Syria. The whole scheme was tied to Project RD4895, a lucrative enterprise worth a fortune. What's more, Saul claimed that a hitman named Marcus Boykin was linked to the tragic death of his family.

Just as James pieced together this puzzle, Katie arrived at the same conclusion, having stumbled upon Project RD4895 through her own investigations. All roads led back to Steve Horn, the shadowy figure seemingly at the helm of this sinister web. James was determined to get the truth from him, but first, he had to ensure Saul wouldn't reveal anything more. So, he staged the scene, making it appear as though Saul had overdosed on drugs, a needle protruding from his limp arm.
