Unperturbed, James Reece strides down, seizing Marcus's phone. He swiftly hacks into its depths, utilizing facial recognition software to unearth any secrets Marcus may have concealed. With a swift stroke, he eliminates Marcus's name from his list, setting his sights on the serpent's head—Steve Horn.
However, the law enforcement machinery begins to close in on James Reece, particularly the footage of him and the mysterious "unknown female" during the chaotic street shootout. This enigmatic woman, of course, is Katie.
As the officers conduct rigorous tests to uncover her identity, our intrepid reporter remains in the shadows. Secretary Hartley, too, is kept abreast of the developments, deciding to broadcast the impending hearing on the matter. She intends to lay it out for the senators, making it clear that special interests trump special operators in their hierarchy of priorities.
Meanwhile, Steve Horn gathers his team for a crucial board meeting, but their faith in him is waning. After the Saul debacle, he's on the hunt for a new VP, and the trust in his mergers and ambitious business ventures is beginning to falter.
That night, Katie sends a message to James, informing him of her suspicion that other platoon members are also afflicted with tumors. But come morning, she's intercepted by the police, who bombard her with questions about James Reece. Katie deflects their inquiries, highlighting Saul's involvement in the matter. He yearns for a brutal, personal confrontation to ensure Navajas knows who is coming for him. Ben, determined to accompany him, faces a challenge when James Reece suddenly collapses.
Upon regaining consciousness, Reece finds himself in a candid conversation with a doctor who advises him to reclaim his life within 6 to 9 months through treatment for his tumor.
