Filomena arrives with two friends, and they collectively tackle the mystery. One manages to force open Meredith's door, revealing a foot inside. In tandem, Officers Giuliano Mignini and his colleague meticulously comb through the house, uncovering bloody footprints and, intriguingly, a telltale remnant of feces in the toilet. This discovery prompts questions about Amanda's earlier falsehood.
Elsewhere, with the assistance of a translator, Amanda is grilled about her nonchalant reaction to the blood, in stark contrast to her distress over the toilet's contents. She attempts to clarify, suggesting it might have been menstrual blood, yet her explanation falls on deaf ears. Just as she exits the interrogation room, the translator whispers a harrowing truth – Meredith has met a grim fate.
Mignini retraces his steps back to the precinct, where several suspects, including Meredith's beau, have already been cleared from the list. They have uncovered another piece of the puzzle: Meredith's British acquaintances harbor a dislike for Amanda, finding her habits untidy and resenting her for constantly bringing various men to their shared space.
Following the round of interrogations, the translator announces with relief that numerous individuals are free to depart. Among them is Amanda, albeit with the stipulation that she must return the following day, her status as a crucial witness rendering her indispensable.
