The duo places Grady under armed detention, with Cane ultimately pulling the trigger after clearing the deck of all menacing thugs. With Grady neutralized, they venture out to locate Bree, still adrift at sea. Fortunately, she possesses a flare gun, aiding her companions in locating and rescuing her back onto their boat.
As for Bree, Belle eventually rejoins the group, prompting them to rush her to the hospital. In a heartwarming gesture, Harlan addresses Shawn as his son as they pass by, while Shawn and Cane mend their strained relationship. Drew also comes through for them, diligently working to cover up the entire boat fiasco, ensuring it leads nowhere near them.
Harlan then confides in Cane, revealing his long-held desire to run the fishery as father and son. This explains his insistence that Cane stay rather than pursue his college degree, an issue that has haunted him for some time. Although unspoken, a newfound respect clearly exists between them.
