Upon arriving in Vuilpanne, Geralt encountered a distressing sight within the dungeon's depths. A woman, trapped in a cocoon of webs, raved about a nocturnal visitor. The eerie atmosphere was heightened by the presence of three heads protruding from fleshy stalks embedded in the walls, belonging to a hideous creature that Geralt was compelled to confront and ultimately vanquish. This creature was a gruesome amalgamation of loosely joined body parts. After dispatching the monster, Geralt rescued the lady from the dungeon's clutches.

As Yennefer and Ciri embarked on their journey towards Aretuza, Geralt uncovered a trail of horrors. However, Ciri's troubling visions and her desperate attempts to alter the course of destiny necessitated a detour. Yen, driven by necessity, opted to acquire an instant portal to Aretuza from her longstanding friend, Keira.

After Ciri liberated a captive dwarf, realizing his grim fate, they had little choice but to flee, embarking on a lengthy voyage to Aretuza. This detour was a journey into Yen's past, imparting profound lessons to Ciri on the potential consequences of meddling with fate.

Meanwhile, Philippa and Dijkstra seemed intent on convincing Jaskier to surrender Ciri to their cause, seeking to bolster Redania's political influence. Their plan involved Radovid, Vizimir's alluring brother. To earn Geralt's trust, Jaskier requested that Radovid compensate Codringher and Fenn for their knowledge about Rience.

At the conclusion of episode 2 of The Witcher season 3, tragic events unfolded. Codringher and Fenn were forced to reveal what they knew under Rience's menacing hands, which he had mended, only to set their workplace ablaze. Parallelly, Geralt attempted to engage with the woman he had rescued from Vuilpanne. Astonishingly, the woman confessed that she believed herself to be Ciri.
