Edmund, Dawn's twin brother, was adopted by Athena and her husband, Will. But he was prone to tantrums, and on the day Athena went out with Dawn, Edmund was discovered near Will's lifeless body. His behavior became increasingly unpredictable, and Athena reluctantly returned him to Ms. Mott. Dawn's heartbreaking screams for her brother echoed until Athena was forced to deny his existence, claiming he was merely an imaginary friend.

Shocked and horrified, Dawn orders Diaz to find Edmund, only to learn that he died in 1989. She rushes to Kel's room, where he suddenly mocks her for abandoning him while she pursued Reggie. Horrified, she realizes the real Kel has been trapped inside a closet. As she tries to comfort him, Edmund's voice echoes on the phone, taunting her and demanding she come to the toy store if she wants Dawn to live.

With a heavy heart, Athena gazes at Dawn and Kel before grabbing the Raggedy Ann doll and heading to the toy store. There, Edmund confronts her, berating her for sending him back to an abusive foster home when he was just a toddler. She apologizes, claiming ignorance of Ms. Mott's true nature, and tries to fight back. But the confrontation ends swiftly and brutally, with Edmund decapitating her.

The police inform Dawn of the tragedy, and she rushes to the scene with Kel. The sight of Athena's headless body in the store leaves her dazed and stunned. She collapses in despair, the final scene of THEM: The Scare Episode 7 leaving the audience reeling from the horror and tragedy that has unfolded.
