Elsewhere, Elaine informs Jamie Phelan (Jack McMullen) that Ronnie's grave, barely a day old, is already showing signs of disrepair. Jamie reveals that he confronted Michael about this issue. Elaine believes Jamie has only embarrassed himself. Rachel Duffy (Laura Aikman) joins the conversation, asserting that Michael represents the past and that one must be cautious in conveying this message to him, as he is prone to reacting adversely. Jamie is convinced that Michael is responsible for Ronnie's demise, prompting Elaine to urge him to resolve the conflict.

Michael contacts Bobby Duffy (Kevin Harvey) to inquire about his well-being and expresses his desire to meet with Jamie. He emphasizes that no options are off the table and reveals that they owe a considerable debt, which is a collective responsibility. Bobby cautions that Jamie will insist on having support, and Michael inquiries about Bobby's balaclava. Suddenly, someone shatters Bobby's window. Michael asserts his accountability and informs Bobby that he is always aware of his whereabouts. Bobby agrees to discuss the matter with Jamie and provide an update.

Michael learns that Diana intends to go to work, hoping to occupy her mind. Diana insists that he must be present if they aim to start anew, but urges him to walk away. Michael confesses his inability to do so, revealing that he cannot escape the guilt of killing his father. Meanwhile, Barney Stiles (Shuan Fagan) visits Cheryl Crawford (Saoirse-Monica Jackson), who confirms that she has not heard from Davy. She laments that his friends do not care, which angers her deeply.

Cheryl is convinced that something is amiss, oblivious to the identity of Ronnie's successor and unbothered by it. Barney, seeking to distract her, takes her to the cinema. Amidst the darkness, Cheryl reveals she overheard a murmur at Ronnie's funeral, whispering that his demise occurred in Spain. Elsewhere, Banksey dismisses speaking to Jamie as futile to Michael, who is determined to showcase Jamie's true colors to everyone so they can form their own judgments. Ricardo reaches out to Michael, proposing a meeting with Diana.

Banksey and Michael arrive to confront Jamie, accompanied by Bonehead (Bobby Schofield). They retreat indoors for a private discussion. Michael attempts to brush aside their previous night's altercation, urging them to find a resolution. Jamie, however, stands firm, asserting that his father's business is now his to command. He offers Michael a substantial sum of £250,000 to walk away, but Michael retaliates by reminding him that Ronnie's business is equally his own, vowing not to budge. Michael suggests Jamie could continue as part of the team, knowing full well it's a hollow gesture. The stakes are raised as Michael insists one of them must yield. Jamie, unamused, gestures towards the exit.

Michael warns darkly that without an accord, war will ensue, with dire consequences for all involved. He proposes an old-fashioned solution: a showdown to decide who will run the business. Jamie demands a cage match, to which Michael reluctantly agrees, stipulating that he will leave if defeated.

Later, Michael meets Diana, informing her of Ricardo's desire for a meeting. He reassures her that Ricardo is a trusted ally, albeit one pushing a deal that Michael desperately needs to close. He emphasizes the importance of maintaining a semblance of normality.

At work, Barney confidentially mentions to his colleague, DI Tony Burrows (Nick Moss), that he has an informant. Tony shoots down the idea, fearing Barney's wife's reaction and potential clouded judgment. Barney is startled to learn that Ronnie had been a snitch for years when it suited him.

Meanwhile, Ricardo Guzman (Daniel Cerqueira) gets acquainted with Diana, who comments on Michael's transformation from an aspiring gangster to a mature man. Michael acknowledges that Diana disapproves of his actions but suggests she nonetheless enjoys the lifestyle. Ricardo teases her about it, and Diana admits it's not a deal-breaker for her.

She readily acknowledges her desire for Michael to halt his actions. Diana becomes privy to the impending confrontation between Michael and Jamie, a clash Michael attempts to trivialize. Diana, however, believes Michael should intentionally lose, thus forcing him to walk away from the violence. Michael responds that he cannot do so just yet. Meanwhile, Bonehead and Blink observe Jamie's rigorous training session, where Jamie instructs them to conceal several blades around the perimeter of the cage, intending to ensure Michael doesn't rise once he's knocked down. Bonehead dispatches Blink to fetch the blades from the car.

Ricardo confronts Michael, echoing Diana's sentiment about the necessity for change. He makes his presence known to supervise Michael in dealing with his son's matters. Michael pleads for more time or the shipment, but Ricardo issues a stern warning: he personally vows to terminate Michael if the original debt isn't repaid within three days.

Returning home in search of Diana, who has vanished elsewhere, Michael longs for her to send a text. Instead, Spike reaches out to Michael, inquiring about a conversation. Shortly after, Michael meets with Banksey, who questions why Jamie is still alive.

Michael confesses his fear of being apprehended and incarcerated. He reveals that when he was about to eliminate Davy, he contemplated suicide due to Ronnie's influence. Ronnie then entered prison with his accomplice. Michael insists he's prepared for tomorrow and can't wait any longer. Banksey hopes Michael understands that Jamie won't walk away regardless of the outcome. Michael acknowledges this, aiming to ensure there are no repercussions when Jamie meets his demise. He had contemplated asking Bobby to eliminate Jamie, but chose against it. When Banksey suggests himself for the task, Michael replies that his cat needs him.

After Michael leaves, Banksey calls him, suspecting Michael of murdering Ronnie. Michael remains silent, while Banksey asserts his suspicion that Michael is still involved. Diana takes another pregnancy test, confirming her pregnancy. The following day, Michael calls Diana, who reassures him of her safety and instructs him not to call her unless she initiates contact. Barney phones to check on a passport update, and Diana sends a message to an undisclosed recipient. Meanwhile, Barney receives information regarding Michael's whereabouts.

Michael arrives at the fighting venue, greeted promptly by Terry, who warmly welcomes Banksey and him before escorting them indoors. Terry announces the strict security measures, stressing that knives and mobile phones are strictly prohibited on site, and metal detectors are on standby to ensure that nothing goes wrong. They proceed to join Jamie, where they meticulously select gloves for the impending bout. Terry then outlines the match regulations in detail. In a hushed aside, Bonehead whispers to Jamie that he's strategically placed a blade beneath one of the posts, plotting underhand tactics. Ricardo, present to witness the spectacle, observes the preparations intently.

During the tense confrontation, Jamie seizes the hidden knife and plunges it into Michael's shoulder. Undeterred, Michael counterattacks with ferocity, bringing Jamie to his knees. Seizing the knife, Michael halts the assault as Jamie concedes defeat. Terry rushes to attend to Michael's wound post-fight, while Ricardo approaches them, concerned. Michael confides in Ricardo, acknowledging Jamie's relentless pursuit and the unfinished business at hand. Ricardo volunteers to intervene, but Michael replies he might delegate the task. Ricardo somberly reminds him that the status quo remains unchanged; Jamie seemingly holds the power to choose his adversary in prison.

Elsewhere, Diana encounters Cheryl, revealing her departure from Michael's life. Cheryl, compassionate, offers Diana refuge under her roof. Bonehead dismisses Jamie's actions as meaningless, but Jamie insists otherwise. Bonehead mocks his melodramatic behavior, prompting Jamie to call Bobby, who is surprisingly nearby. Jamie orders Bobby to retrieve all the money through Rachel, emphasizing the urgency. Bobby expresses reservations about entangling with the Albanians, but Jamie persists, reminding Bobby of their familial bond.

Amid a phone call from Michael, warning Bobby that his loyalty holds no weight, Jamie remains silent. Michael reveals Ricardo's presence in town, demanding Jamie stay away from their funds to avoid disaster. Jamie, after the call, tells Bobby that Rachel knows the drill. Cheryl, discussing with Diana, laments their tendency to give men the benefit of the doubt, inquisitively asking about Davy's fate. Diana presumes he's deceased, recounting how he vanished after a night out with Ronnie, who she confirms met his end in Spain. Diana accepts Cheryl's hospitality.

Barney pays Michael a visit, probing into his Spanish escapade, particularly the trip with Elaine, Jamie, and Banksey, finding it peculiar that Ronnie was absent. Barney mentions Ronnie's missing return, hinting at his role as an informant and speculating that Ronnie might have betrayed Michael. Michael eventually excuses himself and departs. Returning home to find it vandalized, Michael焦急地messages Diana to ensure her safety, but she doesn't reply. He then calls Banksey, informing him of Jamie's misconduct and declaring his intention to handle it personally. He requests assistance in cleaning and disposing of a sensitive package.
