Meanwhile, Maggie stands solemnly at her father's graveside, unloading her grievances about the court's unjust verdict upon his silent form. Suddenly, her therapist's warning echoes in her ears as her brother David rushes to her side, instructed not to leave her unattended. Amidst their conversation, a spark of resolve ignites within Maggie; she realizes she cannot remain silent about her ordeal any longer.

Concurrently, Gia has reached out to Maggie for an interview, yet her message lies unanswered in the digital ether. As for Gia, she has welcomed a baby girl into the world, and the doctor insists on scheduling a follow-up to examine the infant's lungs.

Sloane chauffeurs Gia and her newborn back home, where an unexpected encounter with Jack awaits. Gia's instinct is to flee, but Sloane steels her resolve, urging her to confront Jack. Jack's anger flares up for the first time upon seeing Gia, but Sloane's calming influence prevents the situation from escalating. Inside their home, Gia, Jack, and their daughter, whom they affectionately name Fox, forge a heartfelt bond as a family.

Aware of Gia's deep-seated fears, Jack vows to shield her from any more loss, urging her to abandon her flight response. On the other hand, Sloane confronts her mother for the first time, demanding accountability for the decisions that have sculpted her life's trajectory. Though she resides in the barn, Sloane occasionally visits the house to retrieve belongings, and it's during one such visit that she bumps into Richard. Desperate, she pleads with him to let her return, but Richard's wounded words label her a 'slut,' stunning Sloane.

As Sophie's birthday approaches, Sloane finds herself in a cake shop, where an unforeseen encounter with Lily takes place. Pregnant and bitter, Lily intends to expose Sloane's true nature to everyone. Her insulting epithet echoes Lily's own venom. In response, Sloane asserts that while she may bear Lily's hatred, women should refrain from tearing each other down with such derogatory labels.

Elsewhere, Lina's mind wanders as she awaits Aidan's messages. Her son's cry for help, however, pulls her back to reality—Ryan has fallen into a filthy pit in a park washroom. The harrowing moment serves as a wake-up call for Lina, snapping her out of her distraction.
