Étoile – Season 1 Episode 6 1

Across the Atlantic in New York, Cheyenne catches Crispin warming up in the dance studio and publicly forces him to abandon his session. Meanwhile, Nicholas, as he trains his dancers for "The Nutcracker," broaches the subject of retirement with Jack. Jack counters by asserting that Nicholas is the cornerstone of their establishment, convincingly urging him to stay on for another year.

Later, Jack discovers Cheyenne teaching a children's class, a situation she landed in after causing the original instructor to weep and exit. Jack informs her that Crispin is seeking her out and pleadingly urges her to confront him. Reluctantly agreeing, Cheyenne confronts Crispin, who retaliates by threatening her with a file detailing all the men she has slept with – a list that shockingly includes Jack. He also reveals he possesses a similar dossier on Gael. Returning to the studio, Cheyenne finds Gael engaged in conversation with another dancer. Enraged by jealousy, she picks a fight with him, leading to an enraged exit on her part.

In Paris, Geneviève faces a mutinous crowd of dancers, furious over the perceived favoritism shown to Mishi and Tobias' work. She scolds them for their selfish outlook. Afterwards, Geneviève contacts Mishi, informing her of a new living arrangement. She then convenes with Clea and other governmental figures, who express their concern over the looming strike. Clea urges Geneviève to persuade Tobias to create a more conventional piece.

Elsewhere, Mishi reconnects with the young man from the fishing spot on Instagram, who introduces himself as Timeo and invites her out for an evening date. Accepting, Mishi joins him but finds herself feeling out of place among his friends, realizing that her life revolves almost exclusively around dance and that she knows little about New York's non-dance scene. Feeling out of depth, she cuts the evening short, citing an early morning class.

Cheyenne bursts into a bar where Jack is immersed in a crucial meeting with the police deputy commissioner and the city comptroller. Her unexpected arrival forces Jack to abruptly excuse himself, as Cheyenne is visibly distressed about her encounter with Crispin. Jack swiftly realizes that her agitation stems from jealousy. Later, he seeks out Gael and urges him to sort out his tangled emotions.

Over a shared dinner, Mishi confides in Bruna, revealing her preference to stay put despite a tempting offer for a new place. Moved by Mishi's loyalty, Bruna hands her the key to their house, a gesture of warmth and acceptance. Elsewhere, Gabin encounters a brooding Tobias and suggests they confront their harsh critic head-on. Tobias also notices Gabin's hurt feelings, stemming from being deserted by Tobias on stage at the end of their show. Geneviève then enters the scene and engages Tobias in a conversation, surprisingly failing to relay any of Clea's demands. Instead, she encourages Tobias to embrace his true self.

Jack tracks down Nicholas and they delve into Nicholas's past as a dancer. Jack confesses that, as a child, he admired Nicholas's performances from afar but never mustered the courage to approach him for an autograph, always thwarted by the throng of adoring fans. Tobias's artistic endeavor continues amidst a tepid reception. However, this time, Tobias stays rooted by the stage, refusing to abandon Gabin like before. As Etoile Episode 6 draws to a close, Nicholas steps outside the institute, only to suddenly crumple to the ground.
