There, Tom Tozer and his cronies were harassing Kira Stine, who was valiantly posting "Missing" flyers in search of her sister, Mia. Their intimidation grew to the point where they threatened her to desist, prompting Colter to step in. Tom warned him to steer clear, but Colter stood his ground. In a fit of desperation, Tom whipped out a knife, puncturing Colter's truck and narrowly slicing him near his rib cage.

Tracker – Season 1 Episode 3 1

The wound was deep enough to warrant stitches at the hospital, an unlikely place for Colter to forge an unlikely friendship with Beth, a compassionate doctor. She revealed that Mia had come to the town as a wanderer, living out of a van and traversing the landscapes of Idaho. But weeks ago, she vanished without a trace, and the police had all but given up on her search. Kira, however, refused to accept this fate, convinced that Mia was in grave danger. This is where Colter's fate intertwined with theirs.

Despite repeated warnings from locals to steer clear, Colter's resolve to assist Kira was unwavering. Inside his RV, the two confided in each other. Kira revealed that the men who had assaulted Colter were minions of the Winslow family, led by Eric Winslow, a powerful local businessman with dreams of transforming the town into a tourist hotspot. Mia was last seen on one of their properties, and this became Colter's starting point in his investigation. He sent the IMEI number from a camera device on the property to Bobby, who wasted no time delving into the case.

Tom, brandishing a gun, confronted Colter for trespassing. But Colter defused the tense situation with calm reasoning. Tom confessed his reasons for disliking Kira's relentless search, which he feared would tarnish his reputation in the town and strain his family. He revealed that Mia's van was indeed parked on the property but she didn't sleep in it. Through their own investigations, Teddi and Velma discovered that Mia had been romantically involved with Matt "Gecko" Winslow, Eric's son.

The next morning, Colter set his sights on the climbing range, but Matt was less than forthcoming with information. However, the determined tracker was not easily discouraged. He tracked Matt to the Winslow mansion, catching him just as he was leaving. Matt finally opened up, admitting that he and Mia had been in a relationship. Mia's outspoken nature and fearless spirit had drawn him to her. But despite their closeness, she had abruptly left the town without so much as a goodbye, leaving behind a heartfelt note for him.

After delving deeper, Velma stumbles upon a trove of pending lawsuits in Eric Winslow's docket, leaving her and her compatriots in a state of bewilderment. They promptly task Reenie with uncovering more details, arranging a meeting between Colter and herself. This revelation ties seamlessly into what Colter is soon to uncover.

Kira dismisses Matt's note, asserting that the handwriting is not Mia's. Bobby manages to pinpoint the precise location of Mia's van, which is situated on Winslow property. As they arrive at the secluded spot under the cloak of night, an unknown assailant opens fire, sending the duo scrambling for cover. The shots seem more of a warning, and they hurriedly flee the scene. When Colter returns with Sherrif Gale to investigate, the van has vanished without a trace.

It becomes increasingly evident that Gale is in Eric's pocket, giving him further incentive to overlook any clues that might lead to an investigation. Later that evening, Reenie appears at Colter's RV, determined to sift through the labyrinth of litigation files. Among the stacks of pending and settled cases, she uncovers a disturbing pattern: Eric Winslow has a penchant for intimidating individuals into relinquishing their properties. He has filed numerous suits against unsuspecting individuals for spurious claims like trespassing.

Yet, amidst all these cases, there's one that stands out - a lawsuit filed against Eric by Nathaniel Orcard. Tragically, three weeks after the suit was filed, Nathaniel was found dead. Intriguingly, Mia was slated to testify as a key witness in the case against Eric. Bobby uncovers the mystery behind Mia's van's disappearance and they hasten to locate Matt.

Matt confesses that during their intimate moments, he revealed the truth about Eric's nefarious tactics to Mia. Fueled by her indomitable spirit, Mia was determined to oppose the Winslow family's machinations. However, Matt remains oblivious to the fact that the note he received was not from Mia.

The trio rushes to the Winslow estate, where Colter confronts Eric with the photograph sent by Bobby. The image reveals that Eric's driver, Tony, is the culprit who moved Mia's van, pointing to Eric's involvement in her disappearance. Despite the damning evidence, Eric insists that his only intention was to intimidate Mia. At this juncture, his wife confesses that she killed Mia out of fear that she would not keep silent.

The police later discover Mia's body, finally allowing Kira to lay to rest her pursuit of justice. The episode concludes with Colter embarking on a new case, cautioning Reenie to steer clear of Russell - who has been persistently calling her - after revealing the truth about how Ashton, his father, met his untimely end.
