The ensuing battle rages through the house, with Kim and Jimmy exchanging fierce blows, each determined to emerge victorious. Ultimately, Kim's prowess prevails, leaving Jimmy a battered and bloodied figure on the floor.

Meanwhile, outside the tumultuous chaos within, two young boys engage in a different kind of drama, discussing Jay's tumultuous relationship with Beth.

Back in the fray, Kim drags Jimmy upstairs, where finally, the truth dawns on him. As Kim broaches the subject of the impending apocalypse, she flips on the TV, only to find that there's no mention of a nuclear holocaust. This fleeting moment of distraction proves to be Jimmy's golden opportunity; he lunges for a knife and hurls it across the room, narrowly missing Kim's heart but impaling her shoulder, a narrow escape from the jaws of death.

Outside, Kim seeks solace with Nicky, who's innocently unaware of the chaos upstairs. The revelation that this entire ordeal was but a cruel prank hits her like a ton of bricks. However, this prank spirals dangerously out of control when Jimmy, in a fit of desperation, grabs Kim and plummets off the balcony, his dying breath uttering the name "Joe" as he falls to his doom.

With Kim reeling in shock, the two boys grapple helplessly with the aftermath of Jimmy's untimely demise. Jay, steeling himself for action, insists they must alert the authorities. However, Kim's mind is set on a darker course – a macabre plan to dismember the body into inconspicuous fragments. As they argue heatedly, Tina makes her way back to the diner where her search for her daughter intensifies, her heart heavy. There, she stumbles upon a chilling clue: a photograph of her beloved daughter adorning the wall, a silent testament to her presence.

In an unexpected twist of destiny, Ian – the security guard whom Kim had fatally shot in the previous episode – miraculously clings to life. As he struggles to regain his senses and plots his escape to safety, Kim finds herself torn between vengeance and forgiveness, Nicky's deceit weighing heavily on her conscience.

As Kim abruptly departs, Ian, trapped within the confines of the house, imagines Jay suffocating him with a pillow, his paranoia fueling a desperate confession: the revelation of a hidden treasure – half a million dollars stashed away in the fireplace's depths. In the frenzy to seize the fortune, Kim flees, abandoning them all in a state of bewilderment and isolation within the desolate house.
