Confronted with her abandonment of Alba, she concludes it's high time Arnaud faced the reckoning for his past missteps.

Under a Dark Sun – Season 1 Episode 6 1

Present-day scenes reveal her immersed in a pile of photographs—the very same ones plucked from Arnaud's computer. Her mission is clear: to ensure Arnaud bestows upon Alba all that she rightfully deserves, including a portion of his inheritance. This revelation not only illuminates the origin of the pictures found on Arnaud's computer but also clarifies his eerie reaction upon discovering her name.

So, is Beatrice still among the living? In the current narrative thread, Beatrice's condition is dire. Her heartbeat, a fragile pulse against the silence, barely registers. Physicians scramble to her aid, their efforts to revive her met with grim prospects. Meanwhile, Alba dashes upstairs, evading police and tracking down Josephine with urgency etched across her features.

Inside the room, Alba unearths Josephine's notebook and presents her with the image of Nadia. It is here, beneath the weight of shared history, that Josephine's connection to Nadia is unveiled—friends from a bygone era, with Josephine present at Nadia's birth. Left solitary at the hospital for interminable hours, she awaited, Mathieu conspicuously absent, a testament to betrayal and neglect.

What transpired with Josephine? Arnaud paid her a visit, compelling her to remain silent about the baby's existence. Yet, Josephine harbored knowledge of Mathieu's ties to Alba as well. This revelation sheds light on why Josephine was confined within the ward for all these years.

Upon uncovering the truth about Alba's lineage, the detective was left astounded. Manon eventually made her appearance, having been conspicuously absent throughout the confession. Instead of offering legal counsel, she hastily darted off to locate Josephine.

Lucie ventured to see Mathieu, only to find him reminiscing about the past on the beach. Her urgency to visit him was cut short when she learned of Beatrice being rushed to the hospital.

Could Hadrien be the perpetrator? Leo awoke, calling out for Alba, but she was conspicuously absent. Instead, he reached out to Hadrien, Mathieu's son, requesting a meeting. However, this was hardly advisable, considering Hadrien had been privy to all the developments for quite some time.

Alba is convinced that Arnaud's demise was never about the inheritance; it was a straightforward quest for revenge. He sought to avenge his mother's wrongdoings and, upon delving into Arnaud's files, uncovered information about Josephine and Alba. He framed Alba and killed Arnaud for revenge, killing two birds with one stone—or so Alba presently believes.

As the detective discovered that Hadrien had Alba's son, Alba tackled him to the ground just as they were exiting the building. She seized the detective's gun and fled.

As Leo recognizes the telltale tattoo inked on Hadrien's back, his suspicions harden, convincing him that Hadrien is indeed the kidnapper. Without hesitation, he seizes the bow and arrow, loosing a shaft that pierces Hadrien's abdomen. Meanwhile, oblivious to this dramatic turn of events, Alba and Manon rush back towards the estate, their minds focused elsewhere.

Upon their return, a stunning revelation unfolds: Manon is not only the concealed perpetrator but also harbors her own concealed agenda. Prior to her arrival at Josephine's ward, she had already embarked on a private investigation, uncovering secrets of her own. It transpires that she was the one who dispatched the fateful email to Alba, who pulled the trigger that ended Arnaud's life, and who collaborated closely with Valentin. Bearing an identical tattoo on her back, Manon has expertly navigated between two worlds, her true colors hidden from all. Furthermore, she is the one who also delivered the fatal stab to Beatrice, meticulously orchestrating every twist and turn in this intricate web of deceit.

After the car accident, Alba stumbles away, her thoughts in disarray. So too does Manon, slipping away unnoticed. Returning to the scene, she discovers Hadrien lying prone, an arrow protruding from his body, a graphic testament to Leo's mistake.

The climax of "Under a Dark Sun" unfolds with Manon seething with rage, insistent that Alba must pay for her actions. Alba, in a desperate bid to salvage the situation, proposes a cunning plan: to frame Hadrien for all the wrongdoings, thus silencing the matter with a tidy conclusion. Manon, however, steadfastly refuses this deceitful course. Alba, her frustration boiling over, aims her gun at Manon, the tension mounting to a breaking point—suddenly, the screen plunges into darkness.

Scenes later, we find Alba toiling away in a fast food restaurant, determined to rebuild her shattered life. She and Leo have embarked on a fresh start, having relocated to a new abode. Meanwhile, the Lasserre mansion stands on the market, drawing Alba to a fateful meeting.

The Lasserre family assembles—Beatrice, Lucie, and Mathieu—each disguised dissatisfaction at the prospect of selling their ancestral home to an enigmatic buyer. As Mathieu's daughter, Alba is excluded from any involvement in the will. Beatrice attempts to goad Alba, but she dismisses the taunts with a nonchalant shrug.

Amidst this gathering, Alba and Beatrice unexpectedly mend their strained relationship. Just as this reconciliation blooms, Manon arrives, her presence a silent testament to a clandestine pact struck with Alba. The group raises their glasses in a toast to "family," seemingly ready to part ways.

Yet, the revelation that follows drops like a bombshell. The mysterious buyer, whom everyone has been pondering over, is none other than Nadia!
