Published: Jun 03 2024

In the third episode of Under the Bridge, the emotional drama intensifies as Manjit collapses into tears upon Roy's news that Reena's lifeless body has been discovered by the river's edge. Roy urgently requests Manjit's presence at the station to formally identify the remains, but his grief is too profound to bear such a task.

In a moment of solidarity, Suman, Reena's loving mother, offers to take Manjit's place and travel to the station. Meanwhile, Dusty confronts Jo, accusing her of Reena's demise. Jo vehemently denies any involvement, accusing Dusty of spreading false rumors and exaggerations. She presses each member of the CMC to maintain silence and carry on as usual, attempting to quell the rising tension.

Rebecca, overcome with anger, rushes to Cam to blame Josephine for Reena's tragic end. However, Cam reveals that Josephine's alibi is solid - she was at Seven Oaks before Reena even approached the bridge. Cam urges Rebecca to stay out of trouble and refrain from interfering in the homicide investigation.

Elsewhere, Warren confides in his girlfriend, Samara, asking her to wash a bloodstained hoodie that likely belonged to Reena. This discovery adds another layer of mystery to the already complex case.

At the station, Suman identifies her daughter's body, her heart breaking as she notices a cigarette burn between Reena's eyes, a telltale sign of Josephine's alleged cruelty. The coroner's report reveals that while Reena died from drowning, she had also sustained injuries resembling a car accident. Roy's suspicions turn to Manjit, but Cam stands firmly in his defense, insisting that Manjit would never harm Reena.

Josephine, oblivious to the unfolding drama, is ecstatic about her imminent move to New York and the opportunity to work for John Gotti. However, Rebecca confronts her, accusing her of lying about Reena's death. She makes it abundantly clear that regardless of the truth, Josephine's dreams of New York will remain unfulfilled. Josephine, enraged, storms off in a fit of anger, leaving the tension in the air to hang heavy over the bridge and its surrounding community.

The following day, the town gathered for a sombre memorial service honoring Reena, and Rebecca attended, her heart heavy with grief. There, she unexpectedly ran into Cam, and their encounter sparked a brief yet poignant exchange about their shared losses. It was evident that both Cam and Rebecca had suffered the loss of someone dear to their hearts.

During the service, Raj's frustration with the media boiled over, and he lashed out at the police, accusing them of incompetence. As the evening drew to a close, Cam and Rebecca found themselves at a cozy pub, where they shared drinks and confided in each other about how they had been transformed by Gabe's untimely death. Their conversation flowed easily, and their subsequent kisses hinted at a past romantic entanglement that had once bound them together.

The next morning, Scott uncovered a startling revelation: Manjit Virk had a criminal record that had been mysteriously erased just a week before Reena's death. Unable to confront Manjit directly, Cam enlisted Rebecca's help to probe Raj for more information. Rebecca met with Raj and learned that Manjit had been wrongly convicted of a crime, a revelation that cast a shadow of suspicion over the entire situation.

Meanwhile, Kelly was busy plotting her own scheme. She set her sights on Warren, determined to seduce him and break up his relationship with Samara. Kelly harbored a deep dislike for Samara, who wasn't part of the CMC clique and worked diligently at a local restaurant. It later transpired that Kelly had kept Reena's boots, which she had been wearing on the fateful night of her death, hidden away in her closet. When Josephine questioned Kelly about the boots, Kelly feigned innocence, claiming she had kept them for Josephine's sake.
