In the opening of Episode 2 of "Undercover Miss Hong," Keum-bo, now disguised as Jang-mi, enters the dorm room accompanied by her roommates, No-ra and Mi-sook. As she steps inside, she discovers Bok-hee, their fourth roommate, rummaging through her diary and swiftly snatches it from her grasp.

Bok-hee is about to recognize Keum-bo from their previous encounter at the stocking store, but No-ra interjects with the incident from the interview, diverting Bok-hee's attention. As the senior among the new arrivals, Bok-hee requests introductions before allocating rooms. Keum-bo (Jang-mi) ends up sharing a room with Bok-hee, while No-ra, introducing herself as Eun-joo, pairs up with Mi-sook.
The girls embark on decorating their respective rooms and beds, each reflecting their unique personalities. Keum-bo opts for a youthful pink theme, hoping to befriend Bok-hee and glean more information about the slush fund ledger. During casual conversation, Bok-hee shares her dream of traveling to Santa Monica, USA, which Keum-bo meticulously notes down.
The next morning, No-ra reflects on her mother's advice and decides to align with Keum-bo (Jang-mi), the most intelligent among the staff. During the orientation, Ju-ran addresses the new recruits and provides an overview of Hanmin Investment & Securities. The women are issued uniforms, pens, and self-help books. Ju-ran tasks Bok-hee with training the interns and emphasizes dressing and grooming etiquette.
During the break, No-ra and Keum-bo share a meal together. As they return to the office, they witness the senior secretaries arguing with Bok-hee. The secretaries mock Bok-hee's alleged relationship with Myeong-hwi and question her character.
The argument escalates physically, and Keum-bo and No-ra step in to defend Bok-hee. The break room erupts into chaos, and Keum-bo feigns unconsciousness until Bok-hee urges her to stop acting.
A short while later, No-ra shares with Keum-bo that she will be joining the Risk Management team alongside Bang Jin-mok, Lee Yong-gi, and Albert. No-ra further reveals that she will be part of the trading team under So Gyeong-dong.
At the Risk Management department, Keum-bo meets Yong-gi who escorts her to her desk. As she introduces herself, Keum-bo is taken aback to see Albert there, recognizing him from the movie rental store. The Risk Management team leaves to attend the appointment ceremony for the new company President.
Shin Jung-woo, a former employee, introduces himself as the new President of Hanmin Investment & Securities. Keum-bo appears worried upon seeing him, and it is only later that we discover that Jung-woo used to be Keum-bo's boyfriend when they were rookies.
After work, Keum-bo meets Jae-beom and tells him about her former relationship with Jung-woo. We see a flashback of Jung-woo and Keum-bo graduating from university at the same time. Despite getting a higher rank than Jung-woo, Keum-bo worked as his subordinate at their workplace.
Present-day Jae-beom reassures Keum-bo that she will never run into Jung-woo at work, given that she is a low-level intern. Keum-bo gives Jae-beom a breakdown of her team and tries to figure out Yeephee's identity. She asks Jae-beom to look into Bok-hee's credentials, and the two go their separate ways.
The next day, Ju-ran informs Chairman Kang that No-ra has been added to the Trading division, and the two discuss the likelihood of No-ra quitting before even crossing the three-month probationary period. Jung-woo shows up to meet Chairman Kang, and the two discuss stock trading.
Chairman Kang entrusts Jung-woo with the responsibility of training and mentoring his grandson, Albert. Meanwhile, Deok-gyu approaches Albert with a request to ensure that No-ra does not usurp the company from their hands. However, Albert appears unconcerned about this.
Later in the day, Jung-woo is in his office discussing his return to Seoul with someone. Jung-il assigns Keum-bo to deliver a few files. Overhearing the senior secretaries talking about Bok-hee and No-ra, Keum-bo feels a sense of unease. Meanwhile, Ju-ran informs Bok-hee that her contract will be terminated now that Myeong-hwi has passed away.
Bok-hee is disappointed but unable to convince Ju-ran to let her stay. She asks who her successor will be and learns that Keum-bo (Jang-mi) will take over as Jung-woo's assistant. Later that night, the Risk Management team gathers for drinks and dinner. Albert asks Keum-bo if Jung-woo is her ideal partner. Keum-bo becomes defensive and insists that she does not want to be with a successful man.
Keum-bo impresses Jin-mok, who reveals that she will succeed Bok-hee as Jung-woo's new assistant. Keum-bo is worried about Bok-hee's position. That night, Bok-hee tries to impress Jung-woo, but he refuses to engage in small talk with her. Dejected by his reaction, she breaks down into tears, worried about her job. Keum-bo finds Bok-hee crying in bed.
The next morning, Ju-ran informs Bok-hee about her last working day and tells Keum-bo about her role as Jung-woo's assistant. Keum-bo tries to argue that she is not qualified enough for the position, but Ju-ran refuses to consider this defense. In private, Keum-bo ponders ways to avoid working as Jung-woo's assistant, while Bok-hee becomes suspicious of her intentions.
At the same time, Deok-gyu tries to gauge the impression that Albert is making on the staff. He attempts to discuss this with Jung-il, who has little to say about Albert's abilities. While delivering the items Jung-il requested, Keum-bo discovers an error in the files addressed to Jung-woo. She tells Bok-hee about it, who concludes that Jung-il was trying to undermine Jung-woo's position as the new President.
The two decided to create a cheat sheet with a list of potential Q&A's for Jung-woo to use during the meeting. Together, Keum-bo and Bok-hee went through all the documents and drafted a set of questions for Jung-woo. The next morning, Bok-hee and Keum-bo enlisted No-ra's help. However, the meeting was moved up by 30 minutes, and Bok-hee had to rush to work. She arrived late and was unable to hand the cheat sheet to Jung-woo. Keum-bo caused a distraction in the meeting room, allowing Bok-hee to hand over the cheat sheet to Jung-woo, who used it to answer Chairman Kang's questions.
Jung-il was furious with Keum-bo for ruining his plan and yelled at her. Albert saved her from being punished by Jung-il. At the Risk Management office, Albert informed his team that Jung-woo wanted the entire team to design an information-sharing system that could be used to share meeting notes company-wide. At the same time, Jung-woo thanked Bok-hee for her help and asked Ju-ran to cancel Bok-hee's termination.
Bok-hee wondered if it was Keum-bo's idea to develop an information-sharing system and what her true intentions were. Later that day, Ju-ran told Bok-hee that No-ra (Eun-joo) was Chairman Kang's daughter and Myeong-hwi's half-sister. She asked Bok-hee to keep an eye on No-ra and share weekly reports about her. The three assistants apologized to Bok-hee after Keum-bo threatened them.
Bok-hee ended up revealing to Keum-bo that Director So Gyeong-dong was working closely with Myeong-hwi before his death. She wondered if Gyeong-dong was Yeephee and discussed this with Jae-beom that night. Jae-beom told Keum-bo that Bok-hee couldn't be trusted and revealed that she was involved in an embezzlement case before working for Hanmin.
That night, Bok-hee sneaked the slush fund ledger from the break room and took it to her dorm. That night, Keum-bo went back to the office and tried to look for the ledger at Bok-hee's desk. However, she overheard Jung-woo leaving his office and panicked. The episode ended with Keum-bo rushing out of the office while Jung-woo chased her down.
