In the opening of Unfamiliar Episode 6, Simon reveals the tracker bullet to Meret, signaling that Josef's arrival is imminent. They decide to fortify their safe house and send Nina, Katya, and Yul to a hidden location. However, Nina's curiosity has reached its limit, and she demands the truth. They give her a flash drive, promising it holds answers, and direct her to exit through the back staircase. In the parking lot, Katya agrees to wait for her while Nina insists on returning to help her parents.

Inside the apartment, Simon and Meret prepare for the impending attack as Jonas and his men begin their search through the sprawling complex. A mysterious note slips under the Schäfer's door, reading "I am not your enemy." Vera arrives at the location and confronts Josef about his actions in Belarus. He lies, claiming he didn't kill his child but intends to save her now. Vera warns him that as the ambassador's husband, he cannot go through with it. However, Josef is undeterred and receives a message from Jonas confirming the location is secure.
As Josef enters the apartment, it appears that Jonas has Meret and Simon at gunpoint. But Josef realizes they are all working together and orders Jonas to kill Meret. He fires upwards, resulting in chaos. Josef notices the earlier note, on which Jonas and Meret had agreed that he would help her if she killed Josef. Josef ends up shooting Jonas in the head.
With the controls of their safe house, Simon and Meret systematically take down Josef's men. In the midst of the chaos, Josef gets injured, and Simon experiences a blinding headache, eventually collapsing to the ground.
In the van in the parking lot, Nina watches a video made by her parents, explaining their past work for the BND. As she prepares to storm back upstairs and help her parents, Meret arrives, dragging an unconscious Simon. They rush to the hospital, where Simon is taken into surgery.
The following day, the BND team conducted a thorough search of Simon and Meret's safe house. Julika retrieved her phone and made a solemn promise to Ben should the informant reach out again. At the hospital, Meret implored Katya to let her be the one to deliver the truth to Nina. She then made her way to the hospital's chapel and finally succumbed to her emotions.
As for Josef, during the shootout, Vera spoke with her father, informing him that Starfish was no more. She also revealed that her marriage was effectively over, given what she had discovered about Belarus. However, Sasha revealed that the mole was a man, eliminating Alice from suspicion. Vera asked if she could continue working here without Josef, both as the ambassador and handler. Her father appeared to agree.
When Josef eventually returned home to Vera, she informed him that he would be returning to Moscow while she stayed behind and continued her duties as ambassador. Later, Josef visited Vera and was taken to a room where Sasha was waiting for him. Sasha claimed that Josef had lived 16 years longer than he should have and ordered his men to execute him.
As for the real Starfish, while her husband was being assassinated, Vera met with the individual behind the alias - it was none other than Ben! He expressed regret for killing Alice and told Vera that he was done being their mole. However, Vera had recorded his confession and used it as blackmail to keep him working with her. She declared that they were going to have a lot of fun together.
At the hospital, Katya calls Julika and announces her intention to make a deal. A doctor informs Meret that the surgery was successful, and she is reunited with Simon. He confesses that he stole a child to save their marriage and that being with her sometimes brings out the worst in him. He suggests they should have split up earlier and agrees that they should do so now.
When Nina returns from the cafeteria, Katya informs her that Josef is after them again. She says her parents are talking to the BND (Federal Criminal Police Office) and takes Nina outside, where Julika meets them with her car. Meret sees the car driving away but is ambushed by police officers who hold her down and arrest both her and Simon for the murder of Jonas.
With Katya having taken Nina away, it's clear that the story is not over yet, and plans for a second season must be underway. The Schäfers will need to bring their daughter back and deal with Katya as well. While a second season hasn't been confirmed yet, keep an eye on our website for more updates!
