Just as tensions are escalating, So-ryong receives an unexpected call from Choi Ho-seong himself. From within the hospital walls, he expresses a desire to bestow her with something. She and Gi-ho hastily visit him. Upon entering, Ho-seong inches closer to So-ryong, sniffing her curiously before handing her a crumpled piece of paper. It reveals an official diagnosis of dual personality disorder and delirium.

Ga-yeon expresses guilt over abandoning her child years ago, to which Na-hee responds by suggesting that child could have been someone's miracle. Could it be that Na-hee adopted Ga-yeon's abandoned child?

Back at the office, a tipster contacts Gi-ho through the designated line, confessing to being the perpetrator behind Ga-yeon's tire slashing. He arranges a meeting with Gi-ho and So-ryong, recounting how he was hired by an anonymous individual to slash the tires and retrieve Ga-yeon's ring. The handover took place in a bathroom stall, with the employer's face never coming into view.Later that night, So-ryong receives yet another urgent call from Ho-seong, who reveals in hushed tones about having a secret admirer, a die-hard fan, closely affiliated with Ga-yeon. Before she can even utter a word of inquiry, he abruptly ends the call. This incident fuels So-ryong's suspicions towards Ga-yeon's fiancé, Lee Mu-o. She ponders deeply how he could possibly have known that Ga-yeon was holed up at the KNS office on the night he arrived with flowers, a detail she herself had kept undisclosed.

Na-hee, stepping in to clarify, affirms that Ga-yeon had confided in no one about her whereabouts. She then endeavors to persuade So-ryong not to broadcast this distressing episode. With a heavy heart, Na-hee finally unburdens herself, spilling the long-kept secret. Years ago, Ho-seong had violated Ga-yeon, leading to an unintended pregnancy that Ga-yeon discovered far too late. The resultant child grew up in an orphanage, unaware of her true origins, while Na-hee, driven by compassion, regularly visited her. Eventually, Na-hee adopted the little girl, keeping Ga-yeon in the dark about her existence all these years.

Now, Na-hee is consumed with anxiety. She fears that if the episode is aired, her beloved daughter could be propelled into harm's way. In stark contrast, So-ryong argues passionately that it is precisely for such reasons that the episode must see the light of day, to ensure that such heinous incidents are never repeated. The following day, So-ryong arranges a meeting with Mr. Lee, inquiring into the source of his knowledge regarding Ga-yeon's whereabouts at the KNS office. Just then, her phone rings — it's the perpetrator who sabotaged her car's tires. The narrative abruptly transitions to the Trigger office, where the team huddles to strategize their next steps. So-ryong consults with a physician who emphasizes that Ho-seong's diagnosis necessitates substantial proof and the involvement of numerous experts. The authenticated document in question harbors a tangible air of suspicion.

Afterward, So-ryong ventures to the hospital to confront Ho-seong. She adorns herself and carries a bouquet of flowers, feigning a visit from Ga-yeon's wedding festivities with Mu-o. Ho-seong becomes agitated, inadvertently disclosing that Mu-o is the admirer he had previously alluded to. He even produces Ga-yeon's ring as tangible evidence. As So-ryong snatches it from him, Ho-seong's demeanor undergoes a sudden metamorphosis, softening into a yearning to return the ring to Ga-yeon. Seizing this moment, So-ryong exposes Ho-seong's feigned identity, citing the doctor's revelation that the distinct personalities do not share memories. Enraged, Ho-seong lunges at So-ryong before being restrained by hospital staff.

A fleeting flashback revisits the phone conversation where the tire slasher revealed that their employer possessed small feet, approximately a size six. The realization dawns on So-ryong: Lee Mu-o is not the culprit. Mu-o then informs her that it was Ga-yeon's colleague, Kim Bo-min, who disclosed Ga-yeon's location. The true perpetrator stands revealed — Bo-min! A devoted admirer of Ho-seong, she became a fervent fan after learning of his deeds. She was the one stalking Ga-yeon on his behalf. We subsequently witness Ga-yeon confronting Bo-min at work, culminating in her arrest by the police. As So-ryong watches Bo-min being led away, Ga-yeon urges her to broadcast the episode with integrity and honor.
